    Evening

.com order arrived yesterday, my S&G pink pamper set and glove story were both damaged, and as they were for gifts, I gave cs a quick call, to see if they would offer any ac points.

Was told to return them to a Boots store for a refund or they could arrange to have them picked up, and they are sending me two more sets out, for free!! :j OMD!!

Also in my order was 4 S&G minis and 4 GWP!! Thanks for the wonderful tips on here:D

Whilst out Bootsing today I spotted lots of S&G Admit it you want me sets in Sheffield (Moor branch) and Olay GWP (Fargate). HTHs

Does anyone know if till spits exist in any stores anymore, or are they sadly a thing of the past? As Meadowhell used to have them on both manned tills and SS.

2 extra or 2 replacements? because mine was damaged, but as it was for me i wasnt going to bother complaining....

Had a quick chat with an SA who whispered about the 75% off sale starting on Wednesday, she let slip that last year they were all told Wednesday but in actual fact the sale started on the Tuesday and they weren't told of the change until the day before, she was anticipating that they may well do the same this year

Confused? Mr B is determined that we will be :rotfl:

I was told the same thing by a few SAs in different branches too, they said headquater only tells them one day (one even said the afternoon) before sales or promotions, and this is to avoid competitions ;):D

Regarding the stock, had a random chat with one senior SA before Xmas when they were trying to re-arrange all the shelves just to put out all xmas stuff. I was asking her why did boots order so much stock during credit crunch, she said headquater had ordered all the stuff long before the credit crunch started and actually they had way more stuff than last year, so guess we might be able to find quite a few bargains when the 75% sales start :D

Not boots related so please skip if it doesn't interest :p

Was going to check the No7 stuff at the till as jamsandwhich suggested after work (thanks hun!), on my way popped into M&S and found they reduced all the sales stuff to £1 or £2:eek::eek:, there weren't much left so was about to leave, then a member of staff brought out a batch from fitting room, everybody just flooded towards that rail, managed to grab a jacket (was £99) and a cashmere jumper and paid £2 for each :eek:, saw a lady grabbed a men's suit jacket and a couple of coats as well. Guess it might worth a look tomorrow morning if anybody's interested.

Also popped into Superdrug, noticed they've got Lancome juicy tube for £4.99, not much choice of colors though. Also found a empty packet of Lancome moisturiser set, seems to be full size ones, also on the £4.99 shelf. Thought I had to take it to the till to redeem it like some places do with expensive stuff, then the SA said somebody must have stollen the contents , sigh, was excited about it...

Well, by the time I finish these, boots was closed :rotfl:

    Your welcome:p

Thanks for the M&S info - am popping in on my own tomorrow as hubby is going to look after the girlies for a couple of hours so will have a look in and hoepfully get a bargain!

    Went to my local medium boots tonight after work and got;

No 7 Fabulously firming body cream £6.12- this wasn't reduced when I was in last night
    4 x pantene sachets

    used a blinkie
paid £5.00 cash so got another blinkie back
    and gained 404 points

also got some other bits and paid with blinkies so well stocked up on bits!!

I have honeslty never had so much decent make-up and beauty stuff in my whole life than in the last six months!!!
  • Shops usually order their stock in Jan for Dec so they would have had no idea what was ahead but goodness knows where we will have left to shop next xmas !!
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:

I popped into Superdrug also after my visit to Boots this morning and found a Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 8 for £2.99 boxed and perfect no expiry date to be seen but hopefully ok. I usually pay around £14 for this!!!!:T

    Well done Angie :T

Will keep an eye for this definitely! Also read somewhere some Superdrug has Elizabeth Arden 8 hours cream full size set for £4.99 too and they re-stock the clearance shelf often as well, so keep looking I guess.

By the way had one S&G Admit set scanned and it's still £4.89 something, guess if anybody's desparate for it, you can always get 4 for 3 since 3 sets are over £12 and you get one more as GWP

the staff at my local store definetly get first pick of the bargains. The year before last i got to the store really early - just as it opened. And some of the staff had already filled 4 baskets - each:eek: mind you, there was still loads left, so I got what I wanted too:)

I have no doubt stuff like this goes on in lots of stores. It's not supposed to, but if staff has a supervisor that allows/encourages/ignores this behaviour, you can bet the load up! I don't really mind staff getting a shot at some deals, but I think customers should get a chance, too. And you can bet that those who can get away with it stash stuff away at 50% off until it goes to 75 or 90 off, which is why there's so much we can't find on the shelves now! This costs Boots money and is surely why staff aren't supposed to do it.

I was desperate for this set and saw it before the sale but have not seen it since. Boots were doing it for £19.99! Good luck trying totrack it down. Luckily MIL was out with me on a shopping trip and knew I was desperate for it. I got her the pink Bourjois tweezers on that occasion as she needed some and pink is her fav colour. Lo and behold a few days later she had bought me a 50ml tube of the 8hr protectant, fantastic. One good turn deserves another!
