I remember when I got my stuff in the 75% sale last year and the Sa was whinging to me that the staff don't get any speacial treatment and have to wait until their break to get stuff. (Leeds this is) It probably varies from store to store though.

the staff at my local store definetly get first pick of the bargains. The year before last i got to the store really early - just as it opened. And some of the staff had already filled 4 baskets - each:eek: mind you, there was still loads left, so I got what I wanted too:)

i was just wondering if anyone knows what products the £5 voucher from the olay gwp can be used on. TIA

I think it's for the expensive eye cream only. Might be worth holding on to it until the £5 skincare vouchers do the rounds again:D the voucher has quite a long date on it.
  • Had a quick look in Durham Marketplace branch today, bunbun2 you are right, those sale shelves are being restocked daily so they must have plenty more where that came from, I spotted some new stuff since last time.

Was looking for the Pantene sachets, none to be seen but I spied the same 100 points offer on Herbal Essences. Some of the bottles had a free 200ml bottle of the new packaging range attached, so a total of 600mls for £2.72 and 100 points, it seemed a better buy than the elusive Pantene sachets so got a shampoo and conditioner.
Spent 2 blinkies on a R&M i-define brush and a No7 bronzing mousse, just left with pennies to pay.

Had a quick chat with an SA who whispered about the 75% off sale starting on Wednesday, she let slip that last year they were all told Wednesday but in actual fact the sale started on the Tuesday and they weren't told of the change until the day before, she was anticipating that they may well do the same this year

Confused? Mr B is determined that we will be :rotfl:

Hi all, I have been lurking on this board for a while and have now taken the leap and got myself a Boots card, so will be venturing into "Bootsing" in a minor way til I get the hang of it.

ANYWAY, to the point of this post.....

I was in Barnsley Boots this afternoon with OH as he wanted to pick up 2 of the camping stools in the half price sale. While he was playing with them he got chatting with the SA who was loading shelves, so I went for a bimble around the half price bits (loads of stuff - but not the major gift sets) When I went back to OH he was still talking to SA (he can talk for Britain!). Got there just in time to hear her say (in a whisper) "They will be £2.50 each if you can wait til Wednesday" I said, "Oh, is that when your 75% sale starts?" "Yes" came the reply, "but don't tell anyone I told you" Apparently they have loads of stock with more available - she was moaning that the back room was groaning and they kept getting asked if they wanted more stock.

P.S lots of Soap and Glory in store and GWP available.

    HTH :D

I bought No 17 pump foundation and mascara on bogof today, so got No7 voucher. Used it on No 7 mineral blusher £3.xx after voucher and free pouch with blusher brush and mirror compact:D

Asked about further reductions, but nice SA was unsure. Loads of xmas stock left in fforestfach though.

Not boots related so please skip if it doesn't interest :p

Was going to check the No7 stuff at the till as jamsandwhich suggested after work (thanks hun!), on my way popped into M&S and found they reduced all the sales stuff to £1 or £2:eek::eek:, there weren't much left so was about to leave, then a member of staff brought out a batch from fitting room, everybody just flooded towards that rail, managed to grab a jacket (was £99) and a cashmere jumper and paid £2 for each :eek:, saw a lady grabbed a men's suit jacket and a couple of coats as well. Guess it might worth a look tomorrow morning if anybody's interested.

Also popped into Superdrug, noticed they've got Lancome juicy tube for £4.99, not much choice of colors though. Also found a empty packet of Lancome moisturiser set, seems to be full size ones, also on the £4.99 shelf. Thought I had to take it to the till to redeem it like some places do with expensive stuff, then the SA said somebody must have stollen the contents , sigh, was excited about it...

Well, by the time I finish these, boots was closed :rotfl:

Yup you are right about that. The other week when the OOTW No7 Skincare set was on 3 for 2 i went to Boots after the school run and when i got there (at 8.45am) there was only one on the shelf and the SA laughed when i asked if there were any more, then she said 'i'm not sure if we can get to the other ones in the store room....the shelves are empty cos our girls have been taking them off the shelves and buying them for themsleves and for Christmas gifts'. I didn't think that was very funny, but i did get my 3 skincare sets, 2 to give as gifts and one to keep for me...because i'm worth it :D

    Evening all,

I i went to visit some family hundreds of miles away today as they have a teeny tiny new baby that i just had to go and see.

I nipped into their local small boots, and i felt like i had stepped into a time warp and gone back 5 years.

They had NO sale items, NO No7 minerals +GWP infact they had nothing of any real interest. I got a few cartons of milk for my DD and a reduced electronic nit comb, as it might come in handy one day, spent enough to get a blinke, and when i got my little wallet out with all my coupons in the SA said are you collecting those, i said yes, so she gave me 5 more, telling me that no one there wants them and keep giving her them back.

So 5 FREE blinkies for me. :)

Back to my normal boots tommorrow, with lists in hand YAY.

My Mums slimfast smoothies arrived today, they have a BB date of 02/2009.

I just hope she drinks them all, within that short date, but no big deal if she doesnt considering they were 641, oh and the delivery man let himself in AGAIN. I gonna have to start locking my door or putting up a sign to say STAY OUT!
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

.com order arrived yesterday, my S&G pink pamper set and glove story were both damaged, and as they were for gifts, I gave cs a quick call, to see if they would offer any ac points.

Was told to return them to a Boots store for a refund or they could arrange to have them picked up, and they are sending me two more sets out, for free!! :j OMD!!

Also in my order was 4 S&G minis and 4 GWP!! Thanks for the wonderful tips on here:D

Whilst out Bootsing today I spotted lots of S&G Admit it you want me sets in Sheffield (Moor branch) and Olay GWP (Fargate). HTHs

Does anyone know if till spits exist in any stores anymore, or are they sadly a thing of the past? As Meadowhell used to have them on both manned tills and SS.

I popped into Superdrug also after my visit to Boots this morning and found a Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 8 for £2.99 boxed and perfect no expiry date to be seen but hopefully ok. I usually pay around £14 for this!!!!:T

I tried out the No 7 I got with the blinkies. The Hydra Quench Sauna Mask is lovely and my skin looked and felt nice after using. I also used the Hydra Quench Pore Refining Serum and it really improved the appearance of my open pores. I'm impressed with both products especially as the mask was free and the serum was about 63p!!!
