  • Just got in, and had to have a few coffees to revive me! Brilliant day though. Started with friend Dee at Barking Boots, hardly a thing on their reduced shelves, but not a wasted journey, cos Asda had the Guinness Book of Records (£20) for £3!

Bought one, Dee bought 2, and then we both had to cart these round all day, and they are heavy! But got the train to Bond Street, and went to the Boots basement first.

There were Blinkies left all over the place, so we wombled away! They had loads of No 7 stuff that you can get for no/little outlay, as per the list, by Sophisticated so relieved them of a lot.

Went to the SS till, there was nice young man there, who said he'd do all the scanning. Said I had various "shops" for different people. Handed over my blinkie every time, and every time he put it in the slot, and each time he gave me another blinkie! :j

Thanked him profusely for helping me, and said he was a credit to Boots. :A

Then mosied along to the Olay aisle that was groaning with purple boxes, but also an Olay rep, who rubbed various lotions onto our hands, and then produced some cream that was about £20 and said if we bought that we'd get the GWP too. I told her I needed the wipes as well, and got these and 3 Pantene sachets.

Then we went back to the ground floor, put the £20 boxes on a handy stool, went to the till, and presented the sachets, then the wipes, then the GWP. No probs. Got another blinkie

Then we went to the top floor where all the sales stuff was being kept and saw - virtually nothing. I have no idea if they are going to get more stuff in, but I wasn't impressed - not for such a big store. When we got outside Dee said that she needed to get another Olay GWP as she has several birthdays to buy for this month, and not much money, so I gave her mine.

I've only got them as "cheer up" pressies anyway, and she was very happy! Had our meal deal, sitting outside Debenhams, then went to see Buddy again with our OAP tickets, (excellent - we know all the words!), had a 2 for 1 salad at GWP, and then came home.

Day off tomorrow to recuperate! Hope everyone's well.

That R & M/No 7 list is excellent, as you can see at a glance what you can get for nothing, for under £1 and under £2. Then it would appear all the No 7 is on 3 for 2, and us Ol' Gels get another 10% deducted.

I agree with what another poster said. If someone has gone to the trouble of listing something that may be of interest to you, print it out, and carry it round with you.

Many thanks Sophisticated, and I won't tell you off for not revising!

Hi All, went into Boots on Ventura Park Tamworth today, shelves were empty, no sale stuff anywhere. No Olay GWP (really want one of these). Had plenty of Pantene sachets, I bought 2 and 2 bottles and earned 400 points. Any more tips need to boost my points.
  • Ikkle do you mind if I ask a couple of questions about your shop?

The No7 200 points skincare voucher, is that the one if you spend £10 - if so does that mean it works on a lower spend?

Same question for the S&G mini, did that work without beeping?

Hope you dont mind me asking but cant cope with beeping vouchers, go all red and flustered!!!
    TIA

Are the no 7 cleansers any good? Im prone to dryness, blackheads and spots so dont want anything to make it worse! :o

Sorry, I know this is a bit off-topic, but my skin is the same as how you describe yours.
I find the best product (for a decent price) to deal with my skin, is 'Loreal Dermo-Expertise Renourish Cleansing Milk' and 'Loreal Dermo-Expertise Renourish Velvety Toner'.

They are really fabulous! It states on the bottle (reading it just now) that it is an 'anti-dryness' formula with Omega Ceramides. It is brill at taking off make up, and following with the toner ensures there is no greasy residue left on your face. I started using it on a Sunday evening, and by the Tuesday my skin felt brand new- AND I have never had any problems since.:D

But back on topic (LOL) Boots quite frequently have offers on this product. The RRP is around £3.80 each- but Boots quite often do them at '2 for £6.00'
(Pssst, I usually stock up when Mr T does them at '2 for £4.00 ;)- almost bogof)

I know that was a lot to get through, but I hope i may have given you a solution to your problem!

Thanks for this, was going to venture over there tomorrow to see what was left but I won't bother now!

Went into my small local today and kept thinking how mad people were buying xmas stuff today when (hopefully) next week it will be even cheaper - then I realised that they are probably as misinformed as I was this time last year!:D
  • What's happened to that MyLittleSisterZola email alert thread? I saved it to my favourites yesterday, just tried to go there and saw this message:

Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

I am now trembling behind the settee in case I've missed a post saying "For heavens sake, don't go on the Email Alert Thread!"

Just thought, if they change the next lot of vouchers to purple, we could have Pinkies, Blinkies, then Plinkies!!

Haven't seen this posted, so here goes:

I am tempted to look at their glasses as they have some brands on sale (they had flyers in the store I went through tonight). If I were to buy glasses that are on sale would I be able to use the other side of the blinkie?

    TIA

I bought some Bench glasses yesterday that were reduced and used the £20 off voucher. This brought the frames down to £15 so £70 plus lens.

BUT as I was typing my number into the card machine another SA told off the one serving me because she said I shouldn't have got the £20 off! I had asked another assistant before picking my glasses, so 2 different ones were of the impression that they can be used in conjuction with the half price frames.

I read the back of the voucher and it says you can't use them against the £25 and £45 range of glasses. You can use with the BOGOF. But it doesn't specify either way really about the half price.

I'd say ask before you pick any and say that the terms and conditions are very vague!

Hi hun both vouchers were from the mailing. Only stipulations were that No7 couldn't be reduced and had to be skincare so I chose the wipes as they are something I woul use anyway plus had the blinkie.

S and G was a points coupon again from the mailing and said for ANY S & G purchase so its fine to use on the mini's :D:D

    Neither voucher beeped. x
