Some of them have to be explained a lot, and not everyone likes that. But the more you put into this thread the more you tend to get out.
Sometimes explaining how to get a particular item for x'££ is often like doing quadratic equations:eek:
This thread is rather like life, at times quite straighforward, but other times very complicated.
Thanks polldolls, well put. To be fair, I have caught up with this new thread, after having to miss the last 20 pages off the last thread as I knew I couldn't read both. Somebody said earlier that it's easy to scroll through the thread just looking out for relevant posts...but it really isn't and people asking questions already answered aren't necessarily being lazy, it is HARD to spot info when the thread is moving so quickly compared to other threads.
Anyway, I am adding to the 'not necessary to read' posts now...sorry!
You're right. I will have to miss some offers and get others. Thanks again!0 -
Evening Lady Friends,
Hope you are all OK and are having a lovely week so far.
Quick update about Daddy. He is doing just fine. Had a really bad day yesterday, but he is a fighter. Thanks for all your continuing well wishes and thoughts. You're a bunch of honeys.
If anyone is after the SOAP AND GLORY gift set with that dodgy PINK GLOVE, they have about 12 sets in the Dewsbury store. Also saw heaps of Pantene sachets, but some woman was cleaning most of them out.
If you are looking for the LAST CHANCE TO BUY NO 7 shelf, be sure to have a good wander around the store. The one in my local is hidden away in the corner and had tart loads of stuff on it, there was even some stuff at less than £5.00, so free all the way through! The woman on the NO 7 till didn't even know about the shelf.
Also saw heaps of stuff on the CLEARANCE pile that was all being reduced to 50p. Loads of ladies deodorants, and posh lotions and Aveeno and Vaseline and what not. Check it out at the Dewsbury store, near where the main tills are. Saw loads of Walkers crisps on reduced too, all in date, and bought the whole lot earning myself yet another BLUE. LOL. Oooops.
Have a good week all. Best wishes.

Thanks for the update on all areas Mimi. Sorry to hear that your dad is having such a bad time with his treatment. Having been through something similar I can empathise :A
Does he know he has loads of girlies (and some blokes) on here rooting for him. If not, tell him, it may just make his day:j~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

spend £25 day before yesterday and didnt recieve my blinkie so went in first shop today and asked for it, SA told me they could give it to me because thats not the shop i got the items from............
went to the shop where i did buy the items from and they didnt have any left!useless!
plus they had no S&G GWP signs up or any of the sets.......or any pantene sachets!waste of time!
hope some of you guys had a better day than me!
That seems a bit mean, I have asked for mine in a different store to the one my purchase was made in and have been given no probs - as another poster has said I would ring cs on this one as It isn't really necessary - I doubt if Boots know exactly how many blinkies each store has to give out!!!0 -
Had a great Boots day today. Went on my first visit to Aintree and it's really nice, just the right size!
Picked up a basket which had a blinkie in it, and then browsed the clearance section. A few big things in there reduced by a lot, and then I spied a 250 point No 7 voucher!
So first purchase was protect and perfect with £5 off and then 250 voucher which came up as 500 points! That was what I really wanted, so after that everything was a bonus! Got a blinkie, so then did three shops....
5 pantene sachets and some deodorant... £6 to pay got 500 points and a blinkie
8 VENUS breeze refills £2 on clearance ( £8.00 for 4 refills on .com)
no 7 wipes
and some crisps!......used £5 blinkie so £5.31 to pay and a blinkie
Sanctuary buffer 74p from clearance
Handlucious hand cream £1.70 from clearance
Always 2 for £2 and a meal deal........££7 to pay and a blinkie.....
No 7 blusher
Free GWP and two more Pantene sachets
Used blinkie so £5.49 to pay and a blinkie and 200 points
The two seperate shops for No 7 wipes , used blinkies so £1.33 to pay each time!
So I think I gained 1200 points, spent about £30 and got stuff worth about £87! And I've still got a blinkie left!0 -
hi, could someone tell me how you get the blusher with the gwp free for £3 something, also details about olay gwp?
many thanks
It's the new No. 7 minerals blusher it cost £8.**. but you can use the £5 blinkie (voucher for £5 off No.7 and Ruby and Millie, get it when you spend £5 or more) to bring the cost down to £3.**. you also get a free little bag with it.
The olay is an old GWP that seems to be scanning at 0.00 at the moment. (if you can find it!) hth

pollsdolls wrote: »This is not always the case. I did 6 transactions the other day on reduced suncare etc, in each case I spent enough to get a blinky back, yet still the voucher bleeped. It has worked since but only on full price items
Many thanks to Alexandrite who originally posted this anomaly :j :j
When buying the reduced items now I use the voucher that expires end of Jan, (from the GWP) and save my magic vouchers for full price deals.
I second that Thank You: Went to town today (literally and figuratively!). Bought 6 time resisting creams at between 8.25 and 8.75, made total up to £10ish with Pantene, then gave Blinkie and 250 points voucher so earned 350 points each time for £5 spend and earned new Blinkie (although only had 4 250 point vouchers, thought the cream too much of a bargain to miss so ended up buying one with some Carmex for my Mum's chapped lips and another one with some of the points I'd "earned". Then bought 3 men's no 7 items at £6.36, put in Blinkie and magic 250 points voucher so paid £1.36 with 500 points back....did this 3 times. My total today came to £30 with about 3000 points back so absolutely brilliant thank you.
Am also really pleased that as a result as well as having a gorgeous ladies pamper pack that I have made for a local charity quiz run by my Auntie and Uncle in February, I also now have a great men's one...what do people think of this as a raffle prize....nice hamper made up of a Wilkinsons Quattro Precision Razor (£1.30 before Christmas), Time Delay men's face exfoliating wash (free with the double till spit last summer plus 200 points from H and B magazine), Time Delay men's after shave soothing balm (as above), Lynx 3 set (£4 for 2 last summer...one of my first glitch purchases I think!), no 7 men's anti-friction shave gel (£1.36 with 500 magic points back today), no 7 men's multitask hair and body wash (as above) and no 7 men's anti-shine lotion (as above!)
Oh forgot to mention that the SA on the SS tills kept giving me Blinkies back for each of the no 7 purchases even though I'd only spent £1.36....think she's so used to seeing me in there now that she knows I'll make really good use of the ones that other people never claim lol!!! And oh I certainly will!!!Make £2012 in 2012 member #88

Hi all.....
Can i use my 'magic' 250 point voucher when buying a No.7 gift set?
Just wanted to check...to use it in the 75% sale, cus if i am unable to is it best to use it while No.7 stuff is on clearane stuff.
Thanks
And....
I when to boots today and a SA gave me some Palmolive 50p off vouchers (not boots ones, ones from Palmolive themselves). She informed me that the shower gel and bath milk where on 241 so could get a really good deal....so brought 2 bath milks at £1.63 each, but 241 so £1.63 to pay, then handed over 2 of the 50p vouchers so only needed to pay 63p!!!!
So keep you eyes out for these, they are a great deal!!!0 -
