    hello all!!!:D
have enjoyed reading about all the glitches and bargains you have all managed to get lol, you are all pros at this!!!! received a blinkie from shopping at boots today and was wondering if you can use it against the gift sets in the sale. Really confused with all this, theres so much info to take in.:confused:

No hunni, blinkies can't be used on gift sets in the sale :) Or any gift sets as far as I know, they can be used on individual No7 items that are reduced though :)

Also, for those who are still unsure, a blinkie is the current name we have for a £5 off No7 or Ruby and Millie voucher, it is given when you spend £5 in a single transaction in store. So spend £5 and get a £5 off No7 or RM in return. Blinkies can be used on No7 or RM full priced items, or reduced items, it cannot be used on gift sets but can be used on some accessories, for example no7 moisture gloves.

Whats a blinkie and how do you use them :-)
The term Blinkie is explained in post 2 on this thread along with most of the abbreviations used on here.
You should read post 1 & 2 if you haven't already!

You use the voucher like you would any other voucher but there are exceptions on what you can buy with it, such as you cannot use the £5 off side against reduced gift sets etc.

    1) I have a little over 1000 points, is this just over £10?
    2) How do I spend these points, do I just give my AC to the SA and say I want to use the points?
    3) I have 3 of these blinkies and one 250 points with a No7 purchace, can I use this 250 pointer with a blinkie in the same transaction?

I'm only asking because I thought I had some idea what was going on but then got refused at the till with a blinkie whilst buying a No 7 gift set that was 50% off (this had the 250 point voucher in it)

    Thanks in advance.

    1 - yes
2 - you just tell the SA when you set your items up for scanning that you want to pay by points. Though you cannot pay with part points part cash.
3 - The blinkie cannot be used against a reduced giftset. I think if the item has a reduced sticker on it then you cannot use the blinkie (not 100% sure though), but you can use it on an item from the No7 stand that has a reduced SEL such as the sun creams that are currently half price.

Hiya everyone, been reading this Boots thread for a little while now and would like to say thanks for all the great information you provide.

I have never really bothered with my AC, just had one because a SA asked if I wanted one some time ago, and I very rarely use Boots. This however is about to change and it's down to this thread.

I have a couple of daft questions and hope someone doesn't mind so here goes..

    Kj

    1) 1000 points is £10
    2) just complete your shop as normal then hand over your AC and ask to pay in points, some items cannot be paid for with points, stamps for example. However nearly everything else can be paid for with points. If you wish to pay with points please remember you do not receive any till vouchers with points and you cannot use vouchers, such as £5 off No7 voucher mentioned above.
    3) You can't buy reduced gift sets with a blinkie, but you can use a blinkie on a full priced item along with your points voucher

Planning to go on my first proper Bootsing mission this week. Just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with what will be the easiest branches for me to get to (all London): Cannon Street, Liverpool Street, Gracechurch Street, Monument & Canada Water?

Looks like they have SS tills in Liverpool Street, but as it's a station branch, is it very big? Would I be wasting my time going down there to try and get a GWP?

And generally, what are these branches generally like in terms of range, size, friendliness and accomadating-ness of the SAs?

Any and all tips gratefully recieved!
  • OMG! Only just remembered my log in details after months!!! YAY!!! lol:j

Oohh i'm excited about going to boots in the morning! I think i'll go to the bigger one at Denton, as the Hyde one NEVER, Ever has any of the offers displayed! (and I don't think the SA like me very much;) )

Right, now gotta figure out how to change my email addy in my profile!!??!?

Keep up the good work you guys!:A :A

I just want to say a huge thank you to the lovely bootser who offered me one of their No7 skincare OOTW set (at cost) when I posted the other day that I'd missed out due to work and being ill just before Christmas. I went and collected it today and have spent all afternoon admiring it and I'm just about to start using bits. I won't name as I'm not sure whether she'll mind but thank you so much - you've really cheered me up and I just wanted to illustrate how lovely bootsers are.

Fingers crossed the sale comes soon and everyone can relax and get some bargains ;)
