Just off topic slightly, Canterbury M & S only reducing stuff atm down to 5 pounds, not down to 1 or 2 pounds like other places, but still a lot of ladies stuff available. Men's stuff down to one dismal rail, same as kids. Might pop in to look again when I pop in to Boots next Wednesday. We all live in hope! Am pleased with myself as walk into and around Boots is part of my new fitness regime..thus saving money on gym membership, although DH laughs at this and says I spend as much in Boots[/quote]

off topic i know but at m&s even though the price tags say x amount when you get to the till you might find it reduced further because they do managers reductions- i got a children's coat that was £30 ticket said £5 but when I got to the till it was £3 same with a £35 jewellery box and then I got staff discount!

Bit of a thick question. If I were to buy £20 worth of mobile phone top ups in 1 go, do you think I would get 4 x BLUES if I asked the SA and smiled/pouted/batted my eyelids? Is that allowed or would I have to get 4 x £5 top ups from different tills? I was hoping to use my 150 extra points if you spend £20 with it?

I've heard off the adorable Minimoneyme that she has £1 off when you buy any Aveeno products. Well just the other day, they had tart loads of Aveeno products on clearance at 50p at my local store. Keep your eyes peeled if you have one of these vouchers too.

Strangely enough, I have had this confirmed twice since Boxing day. Once by a No 7 SA herself.

And also by a SA from another concession, who offered to serve me at the No 7 counter and then said, 'Oh I wont serve you as you are buying No7 items and she will get the commission.'

my wife works in boots (not on the no 7 counter). does anyone want to know how much commission the no 7 SA get?

    2p per item

Blimey - we were there at practically the same time!! :rotfl: How wierd is that?! (Erm, not much really I guess, lol!) There was just one male SA putting out the clearance from crates when we were there but we certainly saw the press-gang of Olay reps! Both of them were tied up chatting with fellas (!!) about the products they HAD to buy to get the GWP, so were certainly not interested in us :D Nice one boys ;) Didn't see any S&G behind the tills but happily don't need any more presently :T Thanks also for the "heads up" on the sale stock situation, planning to go further afield this time...bit worried how you know it to be the absolute truth though!! Sounds like some form of torture has taken place to uncover the truth of the matter!! :D

i have become quite friendly with one of the sa's in there and we were talking as she was scanning as she had had to see the manager about holiday and owed hours etc, this year is the only year they have shifted near on all the sale stock this quick, its that empty out the back thats why the reduced stuff has come out to fill up some space, also they are changing the complete layout of the store near the tills in the next few weeks as they sort out the suncare stuff.

if you saw me there you will always remember me lol

    SHOP 3
    Umberto gianni curl jelly =£4.69
umberto gianni spa ritausl exlir =£9.78
    total =£14.47
    minus 2 for £6 -8.47
PLus 100 points from acm when buying UG
    FInal TOTAL = £6.00 + blinkie +100 POINTS

There was a lot of NO7 reduced and went through no problems with blinkie . As the UG elixir did not go through automatically but as the sign says no exclusions SA overrode the till.
I have not seen a single olay gwp in any of the stores or any pantene satchets at 99p .
However again still loads of sales stuff - so im taking notes of what stores I want to go back to.

Proof as if it were needed that so many things are SA dependent! You may remember the problems I had with doing this and the rude SAs I encountered!
  • Had a very successful Bootsing trip today and i only went in for a nail file.
Firstly I had a no7 £5 voucher which I was using second time around as the SA on the last trip gave me this bit back instead of the money off optician part! There were No7 cosmetics in the clearance section so got a free eye palette with this. Bought my nail file and topped it up to £5 with some pantene sachets (100 points on each 97p sachet). Got a clearance no7 Nail polish with this one. Got two vouchers from the instore machine each for 150 points on Toni & Guy products of which there were loads in the clearance at £1.62. Makes then 12p each - bargain!
Also noticed that new items had been put out in the Xmas half price sale section which definately weren't even there at full price - notably a huge no7 'suitcase' full of goodies. Roll on the 75% day...

I saw the Urban Decay and Urban Retreat offer but nothing for R&M. It also said you could mix & match across the range, it's really baffling
Thanks moyilla, I'll have to pop back in tomorrow (any excuse! :p ) and check before I phone up customer services, or I might even ask in store if I see one of the nice SA's!
 I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

What you do sweetie is pout first, cos that'll give the SA a treat. Then you ask for £5 to be put on your phone, pay, get your Blinkie, say thank you.

Then you say, sorry to be a pest, but may I do that 3 times more please cos I want to get as many vouchers as possible.

You don't need to go to another SA. If she says no, well then you'll have to, but I don't see a problem.
