To get to Ballynakelly, coming from Portadown is easy, take the M1 to Coalisland, Junction 14 you will Saltmarine on your left.
At the roundabout take the 3rd exit for Coalisland and follow that road for about 2 miles, Ballynakelly is signposted and a left turn, Once you turn left follow this road all the way up the hill about 1/2 a mile and the Working Mens Club will be situated on the right hand side.

    The address for it is

    Ballynakelly Working Mens Club
    Coash Road
    Dungannon
    County Tyrone
    BT71 6JE

You can google for a map if that helps better than my directions:rotfl:

I can set you up at a table inside the Club and open the back door near to where the bouncy castle will be? Otherwise you will have to bring your own shelter for outside.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey guys,

Wondering if you can help! My mum loves to knit does it day and night and has loads upon loads of baby stuff, cardigans, hats, blankets etc, also she does crochet and has gorgeous blankets all very well done.

My question is does any of you who regularly do fairs think that this sort of stuff would sell?? Every time there is a baby my mum gives something like that for a gift and it always goes down a storm, but I'm not sure if theres a wider market or not.

If so I've told her she may as well try a make a few bob outta something she enjoys doing!!

    Thanks in advance! x x

Yes , Sparky, Ive sen others selling this type of thing. I think there is still a market for newborn babyknits. Bought stuff may be cheap9ish) but when buying for little babies we are less fashion conscious and still like a touch of home made nostalgia!
I think you should encourage your Mum to give it a go for the satisfaction and hopefully a few £££ in the bag!

Thanks Arty, I was trying to tell her its logical! She has them all in boxes, half of them never see the light of day and she keeps doing it purely because she loves to!

However costing would be something I wouldnt have a clue about - do you have any idea how much other fairs had them going for?

    Thanks

Not sure wat the prices were Sparky, but if SuperMum is looking in she might better able to guide you as she has done quite a few fairs and might remember. Sadly, Im sure they werent more than a couple of pounds an item tho'.Craft fair prices can seldom reflect the time taken to make the article. People think;how can that be £x ? its only a bit of paint on paper! and forget that it took me ages to do and years to get good enough to let anybody see! Ah well..

Just passed a notice advertising a car boot sale at Dundonald Primary School, I went passed too fast to get all the details but I think it is this Saturday afternoon. If I'm out tomorrow I'll have a look for more details otherwise I'm sure the school might be able to help. If it is this Saturday (28th) I'll probably nip along, so might see some of you there, I'll be a buyer not a seller :)
