OH just bought an Alfa Romeo, now I'm scared!

I could actually throttle him right now.
He's bought a '2000 Alfa Romeo 156 Twin Spark Selespeed 2ltr' off his friend for just under £1k.
It's gonna cost £100 a month to insure and I'm having kittens reading through some of the threads about the unreliabilty and high maintenance costs
Shall I get him sectioned now?
No seriously though, can anyone give me some hints, tips, pointers, anything to even slightly put my mind at rest?

Dont section the poor lad, make sure he has up to date breakdown insurance, and make sure he revs to the redline on every gear change and all will be well.

Ensure the boot is full of warm clothes/blankets etc, for the inevitable when your waiting for the AA on the side of the M1.

What do you mean by breakdown insurance, is that the AA? I'm already with them although I dont have a car at the mo, just didnt bother cancelling it.
I'm going to be the main driver anyway, thats probably why I'm so scared

    Tip 1 - slap him
Tip 2 - make him sleep in the car
Tip 3 - ask him what HE'LL be giving up in order to fund the ridiculously high insurance costs.
Tip 4 - cry, 'cos you're gonna be skinter than you've ever been before. :rotfl:
Herman - MP for all! :)

Well that changes everything if your the main driver, Its handy that you have AA cover you will need it :rotfl:, but enjoy your street cred has risen enormously, your boy will be proud of you, as long as you drive it like all italian cars should be driven.
