I haven't done any strenuous exercise for about six weeks now....don't worry I don't intend to do the total shake bit for any great length of time. Will take this first week slowly - they do suggest half an hour exercise every day.
I remember watching a programme on Colin Jackson and he admitted to eating very little at one point and I remember thinking how on earth did he run on just that amount of food...
Im sure you can exercise on low calorie intake but think you're body would have to A) have to be used to regular exercisebe used to eating a strict diet already.
And Gem is right, if your calorie intake is too low your body will go into panic hiberation mode and start burning muscle rather than the fat (you need the fat to keep warm so body keeps that) You need the muscle to burn calories so you end up in a spiral as you have less muscle and so it takes longer to burn calories. This is why you often put more weight back on when you crash diet. Sorry you probably know all of this already, i'll get my coat now!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway.
