Does anyone have either of the above? The descriptions seem almost the same, same diameter and same power. Any further info would be welcome. THe one seems to have had a very big price cut. The prices seem very different for two items that look almost the same.
Hi, I had the one in the top link for christmas - tbh, I couldn't tell the difference between either of them so just asked dh to get me one! It's great - very easy to use, comes with instructions - my kids love the dried apple, and I dried some herbs for my cupboard. I have managed to get some mango at a good price so am going to try that and I search the greengrocers for bargains!!0 -
Have just ordered it Lesley!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Well I have finally given in and ordered one of these, went for the top one, will try one of these cheaper ones before comitting to an expensive model:rolleyes: Now just need to find a space for it to live:eek:0 -
I think Yategirl bought the more expensive one with the bigger price drop IYKWIM.I got the cheaper one and tbh I couldn't tell the difference.I've used it to dehydrate onions, mushrooms, peppers, peach and pear.It was all nice but I'm not overly sure where it fits into my lifestyle and cooking style.I am stockpiling the more basic vegetables so that I can take them with me when we start camping again in the summer

£25.99 + £4 p&p includes a free stainless steel peeling knife and vegetable knife
I got one from here last year. Its a German company with a base in Devon ~ get some really interesting gadget stuff at decent prices. Their deliveries are really quick.0 -
:T Thanks for this! I have just ordered one so fingers crossed. Now maybe I can use up every last bit of the fruit and veg box we have delivered especially now it has increased in price. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

It is definitely worth doing the dehydrating. This weekend I wanted bramleys, onions and peppers. I would normally have had to drive three miles each way but they were nicely stashed in a dried form in a cupboard and they did just the job.
Another big thing for me is how little space the dehydrated foods take up
I can`t wait to get going on freshly picked berries this year. I used to have two big freezers and froze my own produce but now I have moved and I have a tiny freezer and I`ll have to go to pick your own but this is a biggie for me as I can`t live without berries. Long live dehydrators
brill,
I jammed a lot of my berries last year and they are still in the cupboard, Ive only use three jars. but go through dried fruit and nuts like water.
Just this minute bought from the unknown store mentioned above.
Cant wait dried raspberries, black, red and white currents and not to forget goosberries here I come! The sign of a wasted life is a tidy house, Welcome to the chaos!0
