I managed to pick up some bargain books in WHSmith at lunchtime - 49p each. One was a copy of Sussex Photographic Memories - a collection of Frith Photographs. There was a varied selection.

I got a few bits in my local WHS too. 4 gift bags at 49p each from 1.99 and roll wrap from 2.99 to 49p. So my bill was 2.50 instead of 11.00. Result! There was loads left as well but thats all I needed.

Loads of crackers at my local Tesco's, massively reduced ie £2.74 to 75p,
the value ones 12 for just 36p,fairy ones £1.25!!
Christmas cards 6 luxury from £2.67 to 66p

Just back from WH Smith in Birmingham where staff where unloading boxes full of 49p christmas stuff, lots of stockings down from £9.99 to 49p, crackers down from 14.99, party buckets down from 9.99, well worth a look.

I got as much as i could carry!

oh drat we bought 12 boxes of value crackers from tescos @ 76p each and we thought they were a bargain!!

I got two £4.99 boxes of cards for 49p each, a roll of stretchy gold wrapping elastic string and a pack of those cute little gold pegs for cards all for 49p each. So grand total of £1.96 for loads of stuff for next Christmas.
