Ive completed a HND in tourism management, and im 5 days away from finishing the top up degree.
Its not easy, you go from HND level right up to the end of a degree, overnight almost. I mean take a crack at it, but you've got to take it seriously and really work hard at it. I would be worried at your stage if i didnt know where to get information from, and i would also be worried about your topic choice. Ok you might like shopping, but you wont be doing any of it!
But, if glasglow has a shopping centre it might be worth asking the team that runs it if they have any stats on the number of people coming through the doors ect. Trouble is the credit crunch is kinda new, and christmas has just come so could those stats be taken into account? Also, how would they determine who is a tourist and who isnt from those figures? Why dont you make it easier for yourself and pick a tourist attraction? Would be easier, although to really compare it to last years figures you would need to wait a couple of months, as obviously were not in the height of the tourist season.
Good luck though0
