You are changing service providers so you are migrating with a PAC, if you were changing networks (which you are not) you would PORT with a pac

it isn't necessary Jay. they just issue you with the pac, which is just a porting code at the end of the day (and migrating code) your new service provider then inputs the pac (it's all done over an internet program), The donor sp (cpw) just put in a different reason code on their system for when they set the port to cancel the number -. ie mine is reason code POO (hehe) which means port out to orange, POR port out to retail (which is in fact a migration since it is vf to vf)

sorry for the terminology but it's just to explain things for you. all you need to worry about is getting the pac code and giving it to 02

If your moving from, say, Orange to O2 you need a pac code to keep your number.
If your moving from payg to contract, or the other way, on the same network you don't you just tell them.
I work for one of the networks. . .

    To clarify again.

    * to Port means to change networks and service provider.(pac needed)

*Internal port (no pac needed) is when you stay with the same service providers but change networks

    * to migrate means to change service provider but stay on the same network (pac needed)
