im reading through this site and i just cant get my head around the cashback sites, i know its probably really simple, but i have tried to get into using them for the last year, but i always forget. Can anyone point me in the best direction of where to get the best advice to get myself started. I did a lot of online shopping this year so i really shouldnt be throwing money away should I?
If its the Daily Clicks you want to help with i do mine regularly every morning as soon as I am awake and my daughters lunch is ready for her to take to school. I then sit on here for an hour (sometimes more if I start reading these threads) and chat to my Dad and get my clicks done. There are not many mornings when I dont do them and I am so used to it now it comes second nature for me. You just have to be strict with yourself and then you will see the money mounting up and it wont be long before they all start paying out. I have had quite a few payments this month - £30 from Loyalty Shopper, £25 from Get Pounds Back, £10 from Cashinco, and £7 from Top Cashback so really pleased. As I said before, I am using the money first to pay off my daughters camping trip with the Girls Brigade although I did spend £15 of it on wool for making Christmas presents.
If its shopping you need reminding of may be someone else who does more online shopping can give you some hints and tips as I dont do that much shopping online really.0 -
I had a major sort out last night and was surprised to find out that I have over half my gifts for this years birthdays and christmas! yay! I only have the expensive ones left- boyf, sister and best friend. I won't need to buy those quite yet so I'm going to be really strict with myself and not buy any gifts until after the summer, I normal get so carried away by 'sales' that I keep buying for people even if I have ticked them off my list, but not this year!!
I am really proud of myself as I have finally followed Martin's advice and switched bank accounts to Alliance and Leicester, and now will have no overdraft interest to pay for a year, and only £5 a month after that, at the moment I'm paying over £30 a month so that's a saving of £360! I also get £100 one off gift from them too, yay!
I want to join the money saving plan so could do with a tin that you have to use a tin opener to get into, does anyone know where I can get one from?0 -

Fingers crossed shevs - OH was threatened with redundancy in October and it dragged on until the beginning of December - in the end they re arranged things so his job didn't disappear was a huge worry at the time but okish for now.
