Ive been really good this year.
Gift book 2008 is now separated from giftbook 2009 by paperclips ;)All my extras gifts, christmas cards and wrap are now up the loft ( thanks to H who had a few days holiday to use.) All old and unloved decs have been binned.
I have been putting my change into relevant pots everynight. Keeping a record of what i spend everyday and then i can give this Money Neutral a good try. I am not promissing miracles,i usually start with really good intentions but then get distracted... But so far so good.
My christmas crafts, cupcake muffins, extra flannels, pipecleaners etc are all in a box labelled 'Christmas crafts' again all the boxes contents are wrote in my big gifts book. So i know what i have
My new hobby, scrapbookingIs all in a box but not labelled up yet. I am waiting for another big delivery
So then i can sort it all out and start to play
Oooh forgot i am saving for a big birthday next March.. So trying to squirrel away £5 a week until then... Again i am not promissing i will save £5 every week, just when i feel i can afford it.
I really will have to see about these daily clicks. I am home most days ( being unable to work through disability) So it would be a way of me saving a little towards Christmas.furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -

I have ordered a scrapbook kit with lots of bits and bobs and an album thats 12x12 (i think), 3 mini scrapbook kits, 3 birthday 8x8 albums. Sooo many stickers, Love ones, easter ones,Seaside ones, letters, Wooden ones, Christmas bits and bobs and ribbon that goes with the things i ordered before christmas. 2 packs of papers one is Christmas one is for birthdays  Looks like sooo much when i have it all wrote down here But i think i only spent £34 ( this order :rotfl: )
This will do for starters and i will see what i can come up with. I already have lots of crafty things here. So i am in the process of putting it all in one place and then sorting it out.furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:

thanks for your replies jamtart and mel.
mel I don't have anything apart from the stamps:rotfl: I will look for the pens and ink you recommend and give it a go. will have a look in Poundland first to practise with! we have a scrapbook shop fairly local so will look at prices there as may work out same cost as driving 30 mins to hobbycraft.

there is so much stuff around to buy that I find it good to have recommendations on what is good to buy. Although I bought a scrapbook before Christmas and still haven't done anything with it:rotfl: I thought i might make it for parents/MIL but think they would prefer a smaller one. so I will make it for me but can't decide where to start:rotfl:saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

bunbun I think Poundlands pack of brush pens (in the art section) might work. If not they are brilliant for colouring in peel offs. Give them a go and let me know
I have seen Staz-on in WHsmiths and to be honest all you need is an inkpad and a stamp to get started. You can use any coloured paper for matting (jumbo packs in poundland) gel pens for colouring in stamped images (pot of mini glittery ones in poundland) and they even do paper cutters in poundland.
If I was advising people on what to get these are my all time must haves:
+ Foam pads and Double Sided tape (check they're acid free if scrapbooking)
+ A GOOD guillotine. The XCUT guillotine has been voted the best unanimously in every survey and is one of the cheapest. Failing this, a metal ruler (Asda 99p) and a craft knife (tools section poundland) and a glass chopping board (Poundland, glass keeps your knife sharp and gives a better cut) is a good start.
+ Staz-on Black ink pad for stamping (if you stamp) for ages I thought I was rubbish at stamping because I used other, cheaper brands of ink pad. I tried this and you can't beat it.:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0
