Wow Rusty that is brilliant! :) Well done you! Welcome back Orchid, you have been doing well!! :)

Well I have had some sad news about my Gdad, he is poorly with cancer we found out for definite today :( worse news is it has spread :( so god knows whats going to happen. Very close to him so feel very sad :( I cried making a ham butty :rotfl:so I decided I have to keep smiling and laughing otherwise I will cry at daft things like sliced pig! He is very cheerful, don't think it has really hit him. Its the not knowing if they can help him or not that is the worst. Think I'm all out of tears for tonight though :)

Anyway...back to happy thoughts... PLM your work is amazing! Love the pics on the blog! cannot wait to start scrapping pics of my house! :) Before and afters are looking awesome!

Hope everyone else has a happy Monday night (sorry if I depressed anyone! :A)

  • Jamtart, i am so sorry about your grandad. My nan suffered from Altzheimers(sp??) and it was awful and so hard not to get angry with her even though she couldn't help it. My grandad died a week before i was born, he suffered from cancer too, so my mum wasn't sure what to think or feel.
If you ever need anyone to talk to PM me and you can call me okay?? (I know you don't have my phone number but i can give it to you)
    I really am sorry.((Hugs))

Pinladymel you should be proud of yourself girl!
Your scrapbooking is amazing, I just love it all! I also admire you for your honesty about yourself.
I got photos printed yesterday.....get me....they usually just get bunged in computer to live in the land that time forgot!...so have some wedding photos , some lovely family photos(at wedding) and some ones from the snow last week.

We also had loadsa snow yesterday, my grumpy son (13) had band practise after school, then we had to go into town to pick up photos, then went to inlaws to show photos & get a piece of very tasty wed cake. Anyway, he was getting grumpier by the minute....when were we going etc etc.....and all because he wanted to play in the snow....bless!! so we came home ,they were out for an hour or so ,built a snowman in the front garden and everyone was happy! Took photos, and now I know how to get my pictures printed , there will be no stopping me! Secret stash of lovely papers ,here I come.....maybe!
Hope you all have a nice day.........no doubt 4 pages to catch up on when I get in from work!!

I would also love to create a few home made gifts, but am pretty hopeless practical wise, does anyone have any foolproof ideas to get me started?

What sort of things would you like to make orchid??? Is there anything you particularly enjoy - stitching, baking, papercrafts...

Have you dipped into the crafty for Xmas/Easter/Other Occasions threads? Full of ideas!

hugs to you jammy - been through this recently myself - keep busy and occupied as I found when I wasn't busy that's when I got down and started crying...pm me if you want to vent.(crying is fine though if you need to -do it) Stay positive for your grandad - I can see you already are - ooh and post some before and afters of your house.

Can't believe how mature the youngies on here are - like jammy and jordanshannon - heads seriously screwed on.

plm - wow, you did loads at the weekend and I love it all - p.s. I am your twin with respect to our feelings. I cringe at a get together with you lot cos I think if people meet me they wouldn't like me!!! I used to be so bad I couldn't leave the house but I battled that and am so much better now - with help from the arrival of dd.

Hugs to everyone who needs them and have a frugal day.;)
