Oh indeed, join us :D we have such fun! We appear more organised that we are :D Go on, you know you want to join us...who can resist an easy challenge ;)

What is your usual plan of attack for birthdays and christmas organisation Rusty?

Not sure I would be able to keep up. I haven't read from the start of the thread so don't really understand it all and how you all find ways of getting free money so to speak.

Usual plan of attack last year was leave it til last minute, panic, send it by post, hope it arrived on time, then apologise when it didn't. However for christmas I had more presents to buy than ever and I was all finished buying and putting into hampers etc etc by the beginning of november which I was really happy with.

I have kept this on the go so far this year ...

MIL's birthday (max £20) spent £15 - presents bought and wrapped by beginning of Jan her birthday was 21st.
SIL's 18th (max £20) so far spent £7 have to buy a bucket still but money really tight so got to wait til I get paid her birthday is 23rd Feb.
Uncle's birthday Max £20 - spent £19.99 (but hey its still under budget) can this be classed as money neutral as we traded in a load of games and got £80 put onto a gift card, this game was bought with money off the gift card??) His birthday is 1st march so just need to post it!

    Ok thats me done :)

Erm not sure what I have to do now?? I have just joined one poll, I finished the qype thingy and qualified for the voucher and I also try and use quidco for purchases.

If anyone likes giving wine as presents I just posted a code on the codes board for 20 quid off a Virgin Wines case.

40 for 12 bottles isn't so bad, right?

£2.63 for 18 is better :D (that was with my tesco clubcard points, codes etc. tho!)

    Good code thanks sugar!

To be honest Rusty, the rest of the thread (except post 1) is random mumblings and updates..

..in fact you sound like you are half way there! :D

Basically we use money from Quidco, onepoll and vouchers from pigsback, qype other survey sites etc. to save up and spend on presents through the year, so that we dont have to spend real cash. By trading in your old games, you got £80...so that can be put in the money neutral pot... and spent on presents if you want...old for new...a lot do this with eBay...it is suprising how much [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] treasure you have around the house !!:rotfl:

Other tips I've suggested are (1) recylce your old mobile for points/cash (2) sell your cds/dvds that you no longer want to music magpie

Last year I spent £60 real cash on presents...the rest was eBay money, cashback money and vouchers and loyalty points. :)

Not sure I ever thanked you for this Jamtart. I ended up with 18 bottles for 1p cash! You have no idea how long I spent playing with different case combinations to try to make it completely free :rotfl:

ooh yes - come join us rusty - I find lightspeed panel and IPSOS are good survey sites. I do onepoll too but it takes so long to get anywhere.

I'm doing my first product test this week - and I get to keep the rest of it after I've tested it - woop woop, and I get points too.

Anybody else wants referring to panelbase - pm me - I'm doing really well so far - have referred 4 people:T Thanks guys

My dad renewed my scrapbook inspirations magazine for me(he's the best)and it has just arrived - had a flick and it's a great issue as usual. Lots of ideas. So off to read that.
