  • Hi i have been scrapbooking for the first time today and have started doing one page.

I hope no-one minds but i have added a piccy, the letters and butterfly are all glittery but you can't tell that well from the photo.

Has anyone got any comments or suggestions?

    luvbargains it's lovely!

More bargains.....my SIL is getting married in 3 weeks and kids are kitted out, just me to get for. Went to Primark and got a lovely black top and shawl type cardi / jacket if that makes sense to go with a lovely red skirt with black beading on it that I love & was planning on wearing with my new killer heels (and i know my feet will be killing me!) then just 'popped into' the Next Clearance store which I usually avoid as I can never see anything........gorgeous purple dress in my size for £5. Had to buy it! So can still wear killer heels and black shawly thing! Total spend on me £17.50!

Have I crafted yet? No but I have ironed, washed, cleaned bathrooms, swept up after my bloomin' dog again.....I could knit a new dog with the hair she casts.........now that would be crafty! Who could I give that to for Christmas!?

I have finally decided to have a party in the house for my 40th in March, I wasn't going to but there are people I wanted to share the day with and as I'm a bit of a control freak want to do it all by myself........so it's perfect! So there are lists to be written and ticked off, invites to make and I thought if I can I will try and scrapbook me!!

I have managed to get almost all my dd2 b'day presents in the sales. Her main present will be bought with Argos vouchers we have swapped husband's hotel loyalty points for, so quite money neutral all round I think. On the downside he is away working just now but whilst we miss him desperately think of the points!!

I have rambled haven't I! Just out to Tesco for my Sunday afternoon bargains...they slash prices after 4pm and I look like a mad woman with my trolley full of packs of 7p doughnuts and 5p bread! Better in my purse than theirs!

Hello to all, hope you are all having a good week, and hugs to those who aren't.

    1. Had roast chicken last night, loads left with lots of roasted veg, so when I get home I'm making a big pot of broth for tea and freezer. (yum) - Done
    2. Also making a big vat of meatballs for tomorrow and freezer. (yum, yum). Done
    3. Need to wrap some birthday presents (mostly bought last year, but some from Amazon this week, not money neutral but at least get Nectar points, which go towards Xmas). Done
    4. Must clear out bathroom cupboard, it looks like a bomb has hit it and there are bound to be loads of half-opened things that can either be used up or thrown out. Done (OMG)
    5. Clear out kitchen cupboards, one of them is too high, and I put stuff up there and forget about it, so probably will need to throw out some stuff as well (on dear), but then I can make an inventory of what I have got. I'm pretty sure we could live for a month on the cupboard food and freezer food! - Done
    6. Must write a letter/email to my relatives in Australia, I have been meaning to do this for weeks, very bad. - done
    7. Re-order a birthday card from Moonpig (there was an error with the printing). done.
    8. Decant a vast amount of sloe gin into bottles. Hmmm, would need something to decant them into!

Oh, and this week I have found a grand total of £11.01 on the pavement and I won £4 on a scratchcard given to me at Christmas, so that can go in the Christmas pot. Oh, and sold a DVD on Amazon making another £21.69. I've been in such a down mood all week, but typing the above just made me smile. :j Annnndddddd, I found $62 in the drawer from trip to NY last year Annnd, thanks to someone on here (can't remember who, sorry), I went onto Music Magpie and got rid of loads of CD's and made another £55 - so the Xmas pot is doing very well.

I just spent most of the morning on Qype and nearing the 2nd tier and have realised that there is no current competition at the moment, so wasted a bit of time for nothing, but hey ho, I quite enjoyed writing reviews. And now there is a competition for a £50 Virgin voucher, so well on my way now.

jammy - can you register for the voucher offers every time they come up on qype? example - can you get the virgin £50 even though you might have already got the amazon £50?
