Oh what a night. Me and SylphRaven stayed up till 4am last night for the Boots online sale. As soon as it started the site just crashed. The poor girl had been on there the night before waiting as well and we was just so deflated that a load of people had just barged in ahead of people. Tried to use Paypal but that crashed the whole site. It was a nightmare.

In the end we managed to get our things which made us super happy but at 4:30 we trundled off to bed ready to be up in three hours. That's dedication, or madness?

  • Popped into boots in town today and bought loads.Dying to go back as I saw loads more I wanted but I have to keep the money I have left to pay the balance on dd,d birthday party this sat.
I saw people at the tills in front of me buying even more gorgeous stuff than I had but the lovely big toiletry and cosmetic sets were all sold out by the time I got there.
I used a £30 giftcard I got for xmas and had a £17 balance to pay.I have to do my gift inventory now although it would have been very handy to have had that completed and with me earlier in boots.
I saw a lovely travel/cosmetic bag with slippers, eye mask, cloth, candle and toiletries and thought that would be perfect as wedding favours for my staying guests, but they only had 3 left and I need more than that so I left them.I thought I could maybe get them online so rushed home to find the site down,I will check again later. At least I have decided on wedding favours.

  • hi everyone,
rushing on through as usual, my life seems to have taken me over for the last five or six weeks. Not had many minutes to myself. I too was in boots this morning but my little store only had the mens gift sets in and i wanted ladies ones , so very money saving morning. Did spend a voucher i was given for xmas and got some toni and guy hair stuff 2 for £7, its usually £6.99 each item so well pleased there. Also my dear daughter confessed she had used my pointscard and spent my £8 of points!! little horror....'but mum...they had just what i was looking for....and i was skint.....' never mind started again. got a £5 argos voucher to use by mid feb but dont know what to do with it yet.

SCATTYMAM- well done on the weight watching. My first one since 17/12/08 tonight. had xmas, been on hols so not holding out much hope expecting to have put on 3 or 4!!! helpppppppppp. Back to lettuce me thinks.

    have a nice day all

  • Boots.com is worse now than last night, last night there was hope, a few error messages, then website again, now its a screen telling you to get knotted! well, a temporary unavailable screen anyways. I'm taking nothing for granted until the items are in my hands, hopefully they wont take too long to deliver. PLM was a total star last night, kept me almost sane, lol. It got so frustrating, kept timing out, errors the lot, but got there in the end & its (hopefully) going to save me loads :)

Full of caffeine so doing well today, even if I did only get 2&1/2 hours sleep, will hit later. As long as my order doesnt get too much booted off (no pun intended) I'm holding back now till the 90% off to get pressies in store.

I stayed up last night for boots and the night before :S
But i think from reading the forums here I was lucky cause I checked out and had the order in my account history by 3.16 i think it was. Saved quite a bit but am quite tired now yoinks just worked it out 3 hours sleep over the last two nights i must be mad or something.
My boots card will now be quite a bit healthier and I can use those to get the last few little presents for people in 342 next October when they have the mad extra points events again.
I so wont be money neutral as I keep spending money.

Id like to just add as well that since reading this board Ive become more consumer confident (i think thats right) and i now do email if something wasnt right with an order eg - i recieved an order from a craft site - 1 item two different colours in the adhesive gemstones, one pack is full the other looks like someones had it used half and resealed it with sellotape!! so i emailed them at 4am after my boots excitement and result - getting a new pack sent out and a free magazine - normally id of just left it and grumbled to myself :S
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

I had a great fun with 3 boots shops today. Got to say Trafford Centre was like a scrum, it was awful and not briliant stock. Didnt go to my usual store and regretted it...so went there in the afternoon the shelves had a fair bit on them but wish I'd been there for 8am :) Spent £150 of my points (inc. £40 on chanel for me :D) ...seeing as I didnt NEED anything I did quite well :) Hope the .com is up soon!

Hope you all got some good bargains!

edit: hurrah! an order my mum put through at 10am has jsut confirmed too :)
