My OH is due his 2nd DLA payment in two weeks time so I'll see if he gets it then but his £10 bonus is normally paid with his IB so we'll just have to wait and see.

It seems as though they paid quite a few people in the first couple of weeks in January then nobody seems to have received anything this last week or so, so I'm wondering if they just pay out at the beginning of the month. There really doesn't seem to be any pattern or logic to the payments.

  • I haven't received my £60 for my DLA.

Was wondering if I will get cold weather payment as I have DLA and I am on ESA (the new incapacity benefit) following depression after being made redundant and boyfriend having treatment for cancer of the prostrate (all became too much for me) plus I have MS. I'm a bit confused as I don't know whether I will qualify for the cold weather payment. My surname begins with W so will get £60 end of March I believe.

Not received a letter as yet re cold weather payment and do not know if I am eligible.

    Any help?

    Thanks in advance.

The question was, does DLA qualify you for cold weather payments and as I originally said,

DLA qualifies you for the £10 Xmas bonus and therefore the £60 payment but it doesn't mean you'll get a cold weather payment

    Hope that is clearer?

My father 88 has had his, about a week ago £60 paid direct into his account. He is on pension, lives in Gwent, and surname starts with W.

I also live in Gwent - Surname starts with H, not a pensioner, but entitled. Seems I'll be waiting longer.

Friend, on pension credit, (63) Gwent, surname H, not received his either.

Cold weather payment not related to extra Xmas Bonus

I had a cold weather payment, giro.
    Friends paid into account.
    Father nothing!
(the cold weather payments are not necessarily being done by your local benefit office)
