  • they said march to me as well but i got it this week:confused:
  • I received a letter yesterday saying there is £25 going into my bank in the next few days.. I'm in York

Got the CWP and the £60.00 a few days ago. Surname "S" Surrey area.
Think it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol

  • Got mine on the 12th surname H and Worcestershire area.

I actually came on here to find out what on earth it was as I have been offline for weeks and haven't looked at a newspaper or tv news for weeks. I prefer a good book whilst being snuggled under the duvet with dogs and hottie botty - now I won't be scared to turn the heating up :)

Ahhh, Cold Winter Payment, that's what that is then. :D

I was checking my online banking last night and I had a £25 payment paid in yesterday from the Department of Works & Pensions, it was stated as DW and I didn't have a clue what that was. Just checked again and it's changed to CWP.

Thank you, I was scared to get too excited incase it turned out it was a payment I wasn't actually entitled to. :rotfl:

Here's hoping I also get the £60 (DLA due next Tuesday).

ETA: Lady_K, as you can see from my reply, the £25 payment confused me also. The Clydesdale Bank can take a day or two to show up the full details or transactions, last night it was showing as DW and tonight it's listed as CWP, so it's definitely the Cold Winter payment. I didn't realise it had increased so much; last year it was £8.50 and I had a letter in advance of the payment, this year no letter but payment none the less. Not that I'm complaining. lol
  • My sister received her £60 on 13/1/09, her surname begins with D and she lives in West Glamorgan. I haven't received mine yet though, only the £25 CWP.

I get DLA, IB and IIB and I got my £60 Wednesday surname W
  • A friend of mine used to work in a benefits office, and I saw her today. I mentioned the question of the order in which people were receiving their £60 payments, which seemed a bit random, and she suggested maybe it might be being paid out in order of the date people had their application for benefits approved. 'TAM' or something like that, I think she called it.
