I thought Nationwide offered this protection some time back. I'm sure they have stopped it now in the current economic climate.
Citi were one of the last to stop it I believe.

Not sure it would have stretched to 6 months though!

Jesus Christ! You's lot wanna get a life!
You see an item in the shop, you like it, you buy it, you enjoy it....don’t take the !!!! by asking for the difference in price if the retailer lowers the cost of the item, what has got in to the world?
Why don't you go and hassle Gordon Brown for the difference in the VAT you have paid for the last 20 odd years, 2.5% now that would line your pockets nicley! Get a grip of yourself!

Well if the price difference guarantee is offered by the Card Provider as Nationwide and Citi used to, then why not make use of it ? Otherwise, its like having an insurance policy but not wanting to make a claim even though you have a case.

Unfortunately I think this is immaterial because I don't think any Card Provider will offer this guarantee in today's market.

Jesus wept, stupidity of the highest order. Not one to out & out flame, but thats the luck of the draw when you purchase something. I hope for your sake you didn't call Halifax, because i'm pretty sure they would of hung up.

Reminds me of when I saved up for ages years ago and bought my first suit for £250. I loved it and was really proud. Next day it was reduced to £99.00. I think its called sods law.

Seriously! That is crazy man, have people got nothing better to do than go on a witch hunt over something like this though?
