Cant remember exactly how long ago but id say well less than 6 months ago. I paid £150 less for it than it is selling for now in the same shop. I used my halifax credit card to buy it, am I able to claim any of the difference back?

You obviously meant you paid more ? or...................?

Price protection does/did exist on some credit cards where you could claim back any difference between the price you paid and a subsequent discounted price but I think time limit was/is 60 days.

Not necessarily so as there was one card which did give this price promise a while back. Not sure if it still does !

Wasn't it the BMI card ?

Not sure. Was just a long shot. Pain in the *rse when things get reduced after you buy them, but its inevitable with technology really.

I thought Nationwide offered this protection some time back. I'm sure they have stopped it now in the current economic climate.
