Another good store going down the pan! This time they are trying to get a buyer but there are bargains to be had in the stores that are closing!

My local's going, feel so sorry for them. That was the first shop we went to in town and got our little girl some clothes when she'd been born. So many shops are closing down.

I'm very surprised to see Camberley isn't on the list tbh! I walked past on Friday (never go in there for clothes for my 3 as i've found sizing odd in the past). and it looked like they had about 3 rails of stock left! Certainly looked like a shop about to close down imo.

Well the 2 most local stores to me are both closing down which is a shame as I love some of their clothes... However It could also mean I can grab some bargains and put them away. Just the same situation as woolworths, so many job losses which is always so sad

My local is going....but we were in there at the weekend, and to be honest there wasn't anything I wanted. Literally.

i went to the one in brentwood last week and there was hardly anything left

whilst i was in there someone came in asking for a job :eek:

well, my local one is going too, looks like ill be going in there to get bubs a few bits sooner than i was going to.

Am I reading it wrong or are they saying that thoses stores have closed already with immediate effect. Mine is on the list and don't want to go to town if its already closed.
The article says that the staff in effected stores have been made redundant with immediate effect, sounds like they are already closed. Not much fun just after christmas for them.

My local Adams hasn't had a very good selection of clothing for the last year. I am so surprised they have lasted this long.

I was looking for school trousers and they had none normally a staple item for Adams.

Sad to see them go - Although mini mode clothes in Boots are made by Adams and they are staying at the moment.

Yes I think they have gone already. Probably had an email waiting for them as they got to work, as I know happened with one store in the past! Unfortuantely one on the list was my old colleagues store, feeling really bad for her as she'd left my store I used to manage a few years ago, and got her own store which has now been closed. There's loads of really nice people left in the business from when I was there so I feel sad for them.
