Are you sure it was the Tom Tom that was broken down for 7 hours? Sounds the best excuse I have ever heard for a night away.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Tom Tom appears to be behaving itself for the past day or two but I couldn't believe the response I got from Dixons who I bought it from after I reported the fault - see below - sloppey shoulders or what!!!!

Thank you for your email dated 4th January 2009.

I was concerned to learn that your Tom Tom is not operating as it should.
Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment this
has caused. Under the terms of the warranty, please contact Tom Tom
Support on 08451 610009. They will be able to diagnose the problem and
arrange either a repair or if applicable, an exchange.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. We value your custom and
hope that you will continue to use our online store in the future.

I've of course had to remind them of their contract under Sale of Goods Act and the fact that I'd entered a contract of sale with them and not manufacturers. What a cheek!!! It would appear that customer service is dead and buried where Dixons are concerned!!!!!!!!
