Jewson kitchen?

I wondered if anyone could please help me.I have to get a new kitchen and have visited various kitchen suppliers.
MFI were extortionate-£4700 for units only,no appliances.(Schreiber)
B&Q were the cheapest about £1740 with appliances
Jewsons were about £1780 with fewer units and all appliances
I thought that the quality of the Jewson kitchen was best although both B&Q and Jewsons are flat pack.I only need about 9 units(small kitchen).
I contacted a joiner I used for boxing in my bathroom but I don't think he is keen to fit flat packs and is obviously keen to fit a Howdens kitchen which I think will be more expensive.
If anyone has any ideas I would be more than grateful.

Firstly your joiner may have an account at Howdens so may well get trade prices as opposed to public prices so to speak so it may work out cheaper or the same - ask him. Also ask him if its just he doesnt like flat pack or that he thinks Howdens quality is better? - if you dont feel comfortable asking him these questions then dont use him - weve got to get on with our tradesmen :-))
On appliances get the best quality you can - I personally had massive problems with my Smeg dishwasher and Smeg itself and would never ever ever use them again. I now only put in Bosch and Miele after obtaining them via internet shopping for the best price!
Also work out if you will need more powerpoints etc and new lighting and factor that into the cost.
Good luck and a new kitchen is lovely as long as you research and shop around. Also because you only need a few units see if you can find one being sold off "ex display" as it may be even cheaper.0 -

Thank you jandanjan. The appliances at Jewsons are Zanussi and very cheap as are the beech worktops.
All I can do is wait for the joiner to get back to me on Monday (if he does).
But I have to decide fairly quickly as the half price sale at Jewsons ends 31st January0
