Was it this code? mentioned elsewher look under the tesco thread.
"Just used the code...
XX-KQQ4 and got £10 off with a spend off £50"
Always a good idea to keep a written note of codes used and for which order or even a print out of the order showing the code for future reference.
Maybe not such a good idea to use the same credit card.
Has the order been delivered yet? if so ring cs and ask why it wasn't credited or return stuff to nearest shop for refund.
Good luck0 -
Hi Magoogy, was this the £10 off with no min. spend? If it was I had placed an order to be delivered Tues eve. A few hours before it was due i received a phone call from Tesco wanting to know where i got the code from The lady asked if i'd got it from them or from a forum site !! She said that they'd been inundated with orders using this code and if i couldn't prove it was from Tesco they would charge me the full price. I told her to cancel order
That'll teach me!!

yes it was the minimum spend one - so, what do you suggest i do? i begrudge paying the £10 when it was deducted in the email and shown but the nearest tesco is miles away.......do i have a leg to stand on? could i say i got the code from tesco with my first lot of shopping which came for mum the day before?0

just had an email off tesco saying they were taking the voucher off because they didnt recognize the email address, etc - but, it came the day after my shopping came and after i had sent them an email asking why they had charged full whack - dodgy or what?0

This happens to me every time I use a Tesco code off this board. I've tried it 3 times and every time it says it's worked when you order the goods and then they take the full amount from your bank. I'm not going to trust a Tesco code on here again. I'd rather shop at Iceland where they deliver for free.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

but surely i have some kind of comeback on this? very annoyed - not about the money more about the principal - they have just had the cheek to send a survey asking about my experience of shopping with them....boy, have i let them have it!!!0

The fact is that the coupons are promotional codes sent out to customers who've already ordered or are from magazines which people have paid for. If you're honest, you don't really have the right to use them. You can't really upset that they've caught on to it!
I use an online voucher code website, which updates fairly frequently. Use google to search. Once they're posted here, everyone jumps on them and Tesco get suspicious...
Obviously you have the right to feel annoyed, but really it's a bit like like 'being found out'...
Just my tupenny worth, anyway....! :think:0 -
I didn't have any problems and I'd never used Tesco before. Although i had some items replaced so all and all it came to £2.47 for what i ordered and they sent me 4 £10 vouchers for tesco southend which isn't even close to where i live...?Debt Free - Go Me0

I had no problems with the Tesco code - £10 no min spend, but I gave it my mum and she had same prob as you, it came off on her email but not when goods arrived. Hers was a new account, and I believe the code was given out due to problems with xmas deliveries, so it has been suggested that ppl with new accounts opened just for this code have not been getting the discount, though there have been some exceptions where ppl have done!!!
Anyway, all my ,mum did was email them with a copy of the original email (which I realise you haven't got!!) , then they came back saying they wanted to know where the code had come from - though they didn't actually mention internet forums. She didn't want to lie so she just didn't really answer the qun!, she emailed back saying that she was v disappointed with the service, she usually uses ocado but this code had been given to her to encourage her to use Tesco and she didn't expect to use Tesco again given the way it had been handled so far. She said she was disappointed that a company such as Tesco refused to honour the code even though they had confirmed it to her. She was polite but firm .... sure enough, within hours, she got a reply saying they would refund the £10!
I am sure this could work without the actual email too - you may as well try! Oh, and sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but you don't have a recently deleted email folder do you, where emails deleted are automatically saved for x amount of days, you may be able to retrieve the email from there?
