Thankyou FF :D I'm very happy with my progress this month!

Have checked out my spreadsheet and once all the essentials are paid (including my 'spending money' that goes into HBSC) I will have 270 odd quids worth of *spare* money in my A&L current account. :T

I'm going to use this towards my PAD's. I could just pay it all now, stick it straight on the A&L card as one big 'payment a month'. Dunno though I quite like doing pad's even though would be a bit of a cheat!

I like this feeling of being rich... you watch, something really expensive will have to happen just to spoil it!

Well done, still going very well, if you are finding it hard to know what to do with your money I could always do with some :)
    Keep the Faith!

    Thanks Hallam :D
I have a plumber coming at some point this week to look at my leaky sink so I have a feeling that'll be an expensive visit!

I have made pad's of 9.08 this weekend, unfortunately no NSD's as I went to the football with my mum on Sat, and have been for a massive walk in the coutryside today with b/f and my mate and her OH... this led to the inevitable afternoon in a beer garden thanks to the lovely weather!

Didn't win anything on the national either, I had a few quid on 'State of Play' to win, wish I'd have gone each way now. OMG and I gave my mum a quid that I owed her from a while ago and told her she should put it on 'Mon Mome' at 100/1 because the name sounded a bit like 'my mum' - she put it on the lottery instead and the horse only went and won! Gutted!

Looking forward to LOST and FRINGE later, just been looking at some interesting time travel theories on youtube...

It's the Easter Holidays now but I am going to be in work for the first half of next week - got coursework to mark. I'm going to try and get them all done in three days. Usually I bring them home but then I tend to get distracted and it takes me twice as long!

I've also got an assignment to finish and an assignment to start for my masters, a bit of planning to do, and an interview to prepare for...

I have an interview for a promoted post at school which I REALLY, REALLY want - I know I could do the job and I have so many ideas and plans for what I could do but I'm only in my 3rd year of teaching so I think that will go against me. Wish me luck anyway as theres a BIG payrise in it too nearly 7k a year that would be like getting an extra 3rd of my salary on top. Now that'd help towards my debt free date!

Off now to make some dinner - quite fancy cauliflower cheese so need to send the b/f round the shop for some milk!

    xx

    Hello :D
Pretty random day today, done a few different things!

I have been and had my hair cut, that was pretty MSE actually, I had a 25% off voucher so got a wash, cut, blowdry and finish for £18! Not as good as the b/f who gets his done by the old guy down the road for £4 though!

I then went to tescos with my mum and got a few bits - noticed on my receipt that I have 1200 clubcard points for this quarter already! I'm hoping to convert them into deals for when we go on our jollies to London in August. I was a bit gutted though, because in the clothes bit they had a lovely suit jacket and trousers which would have been perfect for my interview. The jacket was reduced to £4.60!!! and the trousers to £6.20, but they only have the jacket in an 8 (no chance) or a 14 which I tried on, but it was too big on the arms and round the shoulders :( gutted cuz it was lovely and a bloody bargain for that price!

OMG and I saw some gorgeous shoes in Brantanos, I've been wanting some like them for ages... but they were £38 so I resisted, even with my mum egging me on! Quite proud of myself for that, as they were gorgeous - I've even been back on the website just now to look at them!

That means I'm gonna have to go into town next week to find something to wear... more money to spend! I have still got some xmas vouchers for dotty p's and new look though so might

And then finally I had to take my hamster to the vets to have her teeth clipped, because one of them had broken off. Which cost me £11. the vet was really funny though a real old geezer, he was lovely!

Well that was a rambling post I know! I haven't managed to stick to my goal of not spending this week, but to be fair it has all been fairly essential. I'm going to set myself a limit of a tenner to spend between now and next friday (except for interview clothes) and I must stick to it!!!

    Cheers FF!

I have just logged into my littlewoods bingo account to do my 'free daily scratch' lol and found that with their £1 bonus money I have got £10.48 in there now! SO I have withdrawn a tenner which should show up some time next week for a little pad. Also got 2.50 odd pending from Quidco and £70 from TopCashBack.

When I withdrew my bingo money a little pop up appeared because I still had 69p bonus money in there - it told me I would lose my 69p unless I completed the WR of £180 quid, and did I want to continue this transaction... so I wasn't very MSE and decided to forfeit the 69p ROFL

I'm thinking of having a hunt around to list a few things on Ebay but not sure I've got much! I guess now it's free to list it can't hurt though can it. Worth a go.

I've been a bit OS today as well and made some pizza dough which is currently rising in the kitchen - only problem is I have no mushrooms or pepperoni so will have to dig into my tenner for the week to buy some to go on top - I can't have a pizza without them though!

Well I have had a good old weekend, a couple of good wins for City, a few Easter eggs and a bit of bonus money that I wasn't expecting!

I still have about 60 quid left in my HSBC account and my A&L has just enough left in it to pay the last few DD's that need to come out. I also have £100 in money that I got from family at Easter.

Money that should be appearing, I should have £70 odd from TopCashBack which should be cleared in my bank account by around the 20th, and apparently there is about 2.50 coming soon from Quidco. I also have a tenner on its way from the free scratchcards. So I might still be able to make my £300 pad target for the month!

I have applied for another credit card from Abbey which offers a 0% balance transfer for 15months, if I get accepted then despite the fee this should help me pay off the A&L card a bit quicker.
Although I am a bit annoyed because I signed up for the free trial of the creditexpert thing to check what my rating is, and its all green for all the dots that can be seen BUT it says I'm not on the electoral roll? But I am! I've filled in all the forms and things that came through so I should be. I need to ring the council and get it sorted out because I don't want someones stupid mistake to scupper my chances of getting a cheaper card, not that it will make any difference now.

Make sure you can transfer fromn A&L to Abbey -are they not both part of Santander?

Yeah I was a bit confused about that at first because I originally thought the Virgin card sounded good but it's MBNA and my A&L card is run by MBNA. From reading around on here and on the Abbey website, their card is Santander - so even tho A&L is a part of Santander, the card is run by different people. So it seems anyway. I guess if it doesn't work I'll just have to close the account.
Why do they have to confuse the issues so much though? Makes it so difficult!

Ooh the b*ggers don't make it easy for us do they?!

Hope you get accepted and can clear it quicker - it's so disheartening to see interest being piled on every day
