a bit more done in the kitchen but I have to admit to more pottering about that actually doing much constructive! I'm going to go and put the halogen heater on for a few minutes as I've had HM mushroom soup for lunch and I'm still not warm! (I know mad cleaning would help warm me up!) I've got a midwife appt at 2pm so I'll have to get off my bum for that and then will come back afterwards and have another go at kitchen!!!Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

I've got a few bits in there, skirts and some trousers. I think what I'm mainly lacking in is decent drawer space. I just feel like I'm drowning in clothes!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Pigpen, I tried staying awake all day and it has not worked. I tried having herbal tea before bed and it did not work. I have been like this for well over a week now and it is driving me crazy. This morning I was trying to get my DD ready for school and I kept falling asleep she had to keep waking me up.
LOL.. hence I try not to sit down all day!!
If it has only been going on a week I'd probably not be too bothered.. I've been like it for years!! I think I am part dormouse!!
It is likely you are just trying to fight off an infection or recover from an illness and your body is just NEEDING you to slow down and tak eit easy for a bit?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've hoovered right through the downstairs, haven't warmed up much tho I was frightened when I went into the kitchen I thought Henry may freeze to my hand and I'd never get it off, but it didn't, the ice-cream I forgot to put back in last night is still frozen tho, and the tomato sauce looks none too clever.
I'm off for a HHS (snooze) in bed, with the leccy blanket on, If I manage to get to sleep it might get rid of a bit more of this awful chest/sinus/cold thing I've got, with any luck.0 -

DH won't use a jar that is already open. He opens a fresh one. So now he's gone back to work we have open: 2 jars of sweet pickle, 2 jars of beetroot, 2 brown sauce, 2 ketchup, 4 jars of chilli sauce, 2 jars of horseraddish, 3 jars of cranberry sauce, 2 jars of mint sauce, 3 jars of pickled onions & 2 jars of mustard.
I spent most of my HHC pouring one jar into the other so that they would fit back in the cupboard.
Only have one jar of anything in the house at a time, that'll soon stump him :rotfl::rolleyes:0 -
Lunch cooked, eaten, washed up and cleared away. There's been a car alarm going off outside for over two hours now. Fairly annoying.....
Re recycling - I've read in the newspaper too about them having to stockpile it because it's not worth selling any more, but we will still have to carry on separating everything out here because we only get the bins emptied on alternate weeks so we wouldn't be able to fit everything in the black bin anyway. My recycling bin and crate are really full now and not due to be emptied until Thursday this week.0 -

My mother is a pretty good shot too.. but she preferred the hairbrush.. my stepmother would hit me with whatever was in her hand first... until I knocked 7 bells of the proverbial out of her with a walking stick after she smashed my head on a window sill... then my dad gave me a good hiding for hitting her.. well.. I stand by my actions still .. 25 years later.. She hit me first!
