froddington wrote: »Thanks Flower! She has epilepsy which has got worse over the last year and this is the 4th time she has been rushed to hospital since August. She was vomiting for half an hour before she left school yesterday and still vomiting at the hospital and they were trying to control it. She wasn't very responsive and had lost her spark and bounce (she is VERY lively!!), and the vomiting is usually a warning of a major fit and status epileptus (sp!) She is an unusual case due to her other special needs, so it is a big worry. Last time, we were getting updates at school but I won't find out any more til Monday now .......

Kassey - that's outrageous. I certainly wouldn't let it lie. I don't think DH should have gone either.
Lil_me - huge (((((hugs))))) to you
Valli - that house is fabulous. I'm hoping to go the firework display at Matlock Bath this year, haven't been for years, but used to go with my parents when we lived in Derby, and would love to live in that area, but here's nice too!
Psalm 121 "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." I love being able to look out of my window every morning and see the hills, unless it's foggy. BTW, anyone fancy doing the "Three Peaks Trial Challenge" with me in March, sponsored for AYME? It'a Skirrid Fawr, Sugar Loaf and Blorenge, 23 miles, I think? Hoping to get a group of at least 4 together, especially one whn can map read! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway, I've caught up on all todays chat and skimmed through the rest. I take it all back - you've been very busy Flyladies (and gent) as well as chatty ones. When's the Flying Squad coming to give me a hand?
I've applied for either 4 or 5 jobs, just this week, and am checking every day for updates on numerous sites. I can't remember now who said to Rach? I think, about not being stressed etc by work. I'm certainly doing all I can to get away from the situation. I don't want to just leave with nothing to go to, as that would make our situation very difficult, if not impossible, but it doesn't sound very optimistic anyway, so can see them making cutbacks anyway.
I think it's about bedtime now, so I'll say goodnight and God Bless. x

Back from our hike (I walk with a lady I met at Toddler Group about 13 years ago...she is now a single mum like me) and we just about made it to civilisation as it was getting dark! High up on the moor above Matlock Bath and Matlock I even managed a walk around here - hand over hand! It was very cold and misty so you couldn't see the view at all - probably a good job. Then fish and chips after - yum.
Sitting here with a :coffee: and 2 ibuprofen...
and I found my dream house
(and I guessed the price right - not bad considering it's in Matlock Bath and I don't live there - but I wish I did)
Sounds fantastic. I'm jealous because a. my friend didn't want to walk as it was too cold (although we did go to bicester village where she spend ££££££ and I spent considerably less!) and b. that's what you pay for a 1950s ex-council semi (i.e. my house) down here.
Obviously I just have to work out how to find myself a job in your part of the world... or when I've got myself a bit fitter, organise my trips to Leeds so I come back past you on Saturday mornings so I can get a decent walk in!0 -
Valli where in Derbyland are you
But I am a Lancashire Lassie by birth ***swells with pride***with very strong London connections (3 generations back on both sides.) My birth surname was a Lancashire one...oddly though they were in LondonI also have a Cornish ? (and unusual) surname in my family...
That piggin' phone - I can hear it but I cannot find it...
I lurrve a Welsh accent though Oddjob - so if you have any 'lonely' (but not odd. obviously, neighbours) ***winks furiously****Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
