    Morning all

One load of washing draped round indoors. We had a very hard frost overnight, which surprised me because it felt much milder coming home from work last night. Looks pretty though.

Dusted living room, hallway and computer desk. Vacuumed right through downstairs. Took the dog out. Made cottage pie for dinner, which is driving the dog mad and she keeps trying to herd me out into the kitchen like Lassie to tell me it's out there.

Haven't read any posts today yet, had to watch ER first (and have a few tears). Back later.

Thanks toochoosey -my little 'baby' is 8!
  • Apparently he would need fraud prevention insurance or something like that?? I dont know much about that kind of thing either.

Hmm...that's probably true....because of course they make you pay extra for stuff like that...b*******!

I feel that a strongly worded letter wouldn't go amiss though... :) I love any excuse for a 'strongly worded letter'!!! There might be one on this site maybe?

Mudbath - if you knew me, you wouldn't be asking if I was doing too much!!! It's really rather unlikely!! :) I am having a filing day....I've even put it on a chair in this room so that I don't have to keep picking stuff off the floor (not that I can pick stuff up off the floor anymore - mahoosive bump in the way...!)

  • GnB - just found this on a site called Debt Wizard...don't know if it's of any help (sure you've already looked into it)

Is there a helpline telephone number I can call for advice?
    Yes, 0845 302 1444
Am I covered by the bank if a fraudster takes my money or sets up other bogus loan accounts?

The British Bankers Association, BBA, say that under their code victims of fraud will be reimbursed, however, every case will be judged upon its merits. But in reality you should be covered.

And this from the MSE site...

Do I need ID fraud insurance?
No no no no NO! An entire industry has built up selling us the fear of ID fraud and then trying to sell us insurance against it! In some ways these companies are almost, although not quite, as bad as the fraudsters themselves. Most non-high net worth individuals don’t need to pay for these expensive insurance policies; while ID fraud is a hassle, you're covered by the banks unless you're culpable.

    Well done Somnium and flybabybunting
JillD - leaving is clearly the right thing for you to have done. What a horrible, horrible bunch of people you worked with!
Indigo - you really should eat something before you go to bed.
Christmasshopper - hope you're feeling better soon

Slept really well last night and feel quite chipper this morning. There's a deep, deep frost outside so I'm glad I'm off!

One load of washing already in the machine and I'm on my second cuppa. Already swept the kitchen floor too - but that's only because the dog decided to empty the bin for me!

don't they say that if you eat before bed, it won't digest properly, you have bad dreams, and get fat ? (fatter in my case, lol):o

Well Rach - how did you do?

I put the sheets on the line when they finished (fat chance of them drying it's so cold but at least they'll be freshened a bit before I start draping them on the rads). Put another load in the washing machine. Dusted and Dysoned my bedroom. Cleared the windowledge of assorted pieces of paper. Emptied the Dyson, emptied the bin in the bedroom and fielded a phone call from someone saying "you recently entered a survey saying you'd like a life insurance quote"
    "Oh no I didn't!" said I
His script hadn't prepared him for that so he said goodbye and hung up :rotfl:
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
  • Well that HHC was productive!:D
Tackling the covering of dust in my bedroom has made me sneeze! See I always knew that housework wasnt good for me!:D
Embarrassingly enough i actually have an official Flylady feather duster and even with that the dust was so thick it was rolling into clumps which were too heavy for the duster!:o:o
I have started another bag for charity stuff, which will live in my car boot until full enough to go to the shop.
I have got rid of several candles and knick nacks from my room, although havent been able to let go of most of them. The pot pourri has gone, total dust trap!

My bed is now covered with clothes from my DS's floor/wardrobe. he has a really small room, and has very little storage space. All his clothes get shoved into the bottom of his wardrobe, whether clean or dirty! I dont have a sense of smell and cant do a 'sniff' test on them. So they are all on my bed, for him to sort out, along with a shedload of clothes that are probably way too small for him, so major clothes trying on session for him tonite!

I think your alright as long as it's just a light snack. If you need something to eat, then eat it!

Just writing myself labels for clothes piles :o Doing ones for when I sort the children's clothes for storage. Then I need some for our bed, summer stuff, going to fit into, need to try on, charity, put away etc  If I don't I forget what I'm doing!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
