Wow lucky dog! Not sure sure where to send my dog now, it all gets expensive. Trouble is now HD Ferries aren't running it does seem a lot more expensive! Last year we went over 2 or 3 times as at about £125 return trip it wasn't too bad.
Suppose I should feed both of us!
And if there's enough of you maybe charter a boat to the mainland lol!
I've been reading the boys their new stories, but they started fighting halfway through the gruffalo so I left them to it. All end in tears I expect but they are boys!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

.....
But that is just my experience. When I found out I was going to have to wear one, I read a book by Judy Blume called "Deenie" (Wikipedia entry here ) and it helped to know that other people (even if it was just in a book) were going through similar feeling of hating the brace and the fact that they stood out.
If your DD4 does get one, no matter how uncomfortable or singled out she may feel I would highly recommend her wearing it as much as she is told to, or as much as she can stand, it gets easier over time. I didn't and I still suffer with back problems which may or may not have been solved by the back brace.
Thank you!! And if she needs one I'll be making sure it gets worn! She has better posture just with the insoles so we are hoping we have caught it in time before the muscles etc in the back become dostortedLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

The lists do change slightly - usually depends on what room pigpen fancies doing (or not:p) - sometimes there is different things on esp like jennybee if they mention they've got to do something.

If my LO had not had her back seen to she would likely not be with us just now:( I dont know how serious your DD's condition is, but the treatment is a short term solution to a fairly debilitating problem. Sorry if i'm teaching granny to suck eggs, and i know you dont trust doctors, but thats just my tuppence worth.
thank you! She has one leg shorter than the other so when she stands her back is twisted so her body is vertical but her pelvis is at an angle.. there is about an inch difference in the height at one hip compared to the other.. even the the leg difference is less.. it would be barely noticable at 5 feet talle but she is not quite 3 feet yet! As a result the muscles in one side of her back are more developed than the other and the tendons/ligaments are streching/growing according to how she is stood rather than straight. Her back is in a similar position to someone with a baby on their hip.
The insoles she has level her legs as one has a raise.. as well as stopping the pronating.. so we are hoping it has been caught in time. Her walking is better but she is still complaining about her back and hips hurting. If the posture doesn't improve the next step is a back brace.
Tiddles has insoles too.. but she has loose ligaments in the fronts and side of her legs and really tight ligaments in her feet.. so she has curly toes and floopy feet!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
WOOOHOOOO, seeing major progress in the spare room now that everthing has a home to go to.
Have managed to empty the large drawers into a smaller set and another set that were already in there, so the bigger set can go in my room for DP's clothes(currently in the boiler cupboard in our room, which clears out boiler cupboard so can store bedding etc in there!)Going to move drawers in our room into boys room as extra storage for them too.
Have moved one of the chair beds into boys room, the other is staying in spare room for nephew when he stays.
The HuGE beanbag will either go in the corner down here or get flung, havent decided yet!!
Ok back to it, have got just over an hour before school run.An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will
