Afternoon all,
going to tackle a HHC at 1.30 before i even find my list as not much has happened yet here.!!!0 -
Wow lucky dog! Not sure sure where to send my dog now, it all gets expensive. Trouble is now HD Ferries aren't running it does seem a lot more expensive! Last year we went over 2 or 3 times as at about £125 return trip it wasn't too bad.
The cheapest we can get away with a car is £98 return - but only October and November, and for two people. Children would cost another £25 each. Next cheapest is January/February which is £108 return. Summer you are talking really silly money. Flying - don't get me started on that one! :eek:0 -
SUNGLASSES
:rotfl: Yes - very funny.
Thanks guys for giving out some milky craving vibes for DS2. He's definately teething, so am making milky porridge and semolina for him. Any ideas what else milky I could give him, tried weetabix and crushed rice crispies - he didn't like it - I think it's the texture. I could try some rice pudding - but that takes forever to make and you have to keep watching it so it doesn't burn.
Haven't done much flying again, I'm defiantely gonna go now and make a start on the Spare Room, I've got an hour before I have to collect DS1 from nursery.
Still haven't caught up on the posts, hope everyone is OK and in good spirits. Sending out huggy vibes to anyone that needs them.

Finished the driveway - it looks much better now there are no weeds! There's a sort of 'bed' along one side, which would look nice with lots of daffs, but I'm too late for this year. I think I'll get some bedding plants for in there - pansies are always cheerful - are they available yet?
Tomorrow, after I get back from town, I'm going to weed all the cracks in the paved area at the back. I might even get out the strimmer and cut the grass.
I'm going to search for a naan bread recipe, make a :coffee: then watch Doctors. DS is walking home tonight on his own as I don't have the car so I don't have to worry about the school run!0 -
thank you! She has one leg shorter than the other so when she stands her back is twisted so her body is vertical but her pelvis is at an angle.. there is about an inch difference in the height at one hip compared to the other.. even the the leg difference is less.. it would be barely noticable at 5 feet talle but she is not quite 3 feet yet! As a result the muscles in one side of her back are more developed than the other and the tendons/ligaments are streching/growing according to how she is stood rather than straight. Her back is in a similar position to someone with a baby on their hip.
The insoles she has level her legs as one has a raise.. as well as stopping the pronating.. so we are hoping it has been caught in time. Her walking is better but she is still complaining about her back and hips hurting. If the posture doesn't improve the next step is a back brace.
Tiddles has insoles too.. but she has loose ligaments in the fronts and side of her legs and really tight ligaments in her feet.. so she has curly toes and floopy feet!!
My LO has very soft tendons too, she HAS to have start rite shoes because nothing else give her the support she needs, she rolls in on her feet. She also has one leg shorter than the other due to being born with a bilateral hip dislocation. Her pelvis is tilted also, she has an extra rib(which was handy when they did her spinal fusion as they use a rib!) She has a large hernia on her side just below her ribs, some of her ribs are fused together.
Need to get a doctors letter to put with her passport for when we go through the airport as she will set all the metal detectors off! Her sternum is held together with metal, she has metal rods in her spine - she's like the bionic woman...The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

No don't talk to me about flying either. I had a look at that and it's about £400/£500 to the UK and then you need to get all the gubbins there and hire a car afterwards! I'm sure there is a good reason why I'm living here :rotfl:
Right have to move...really have to move!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

startrite shoes won't fit my lot as they have really low ankle bones coupled with a really high insteo so they always have clarks.. though they are supposed to have lace up ankle boots.. but they are impossible to buy! Trainers are an absolute no-no.
Mine has leg length discrepency due to her uterine position she had the shorter leg stright up her front so her foot was on her forehead and it reduced the blood supply to the leg.. so it isn't just the bones it is everything that is shorter.
She is VERY bendy though... sometimes it is a problem.. she had her elbow dislocated once being put in her pj's! She was screaming and took her feet off the floor.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
