Hiya and good morning my lovely fly ladies (and man!)
Ragz - I understand how you feel! Not working is a nightmare when you're self employed. I've still not heard if i'll get the money i'm entitled despite always paying national insurance etc. I put the claim in 4 weeks ago!! I know it will be backdated but we need the money now. Mind you, after my wrist episode and they didn't pay me anything because I owed £8.00, i'm not expecting to be entitled this time even though I paid the £8.00. If I don't get it i'll have to start work again at the beginning of February whether i'm ready or not. If I get the money i'll take the recommended 3 months off. I hope he's 'better' soon xx
I slept a full 9 hours last night! Today i'm going to do little flying jobs regularly. My DH has been fab through my operation etc but I've just realised he's not done things like change the children's beds since I did it before the operation (11/12/08). Now, whilst it's not going to kill them it's a bit pongy. Also, yesterday he said isn't the bathroom floor manky. So I asked how often he'd cleaned it and he looked at me and said....never thought of that!!! I've got some antibacterial wipes so i'm cleaning a little bit of it at a time today. It's minging!!! I'm not calling him though because he's done the important bits like feed us all, been fab with the children etc. A bit of dirt isn't the end of the world! How i've changed!!!
Hugs to all xx0 -

Morning everyone, flip it's a cold one here this morning. Feeling so tired today but know i need to get on. Slept in this morning then couldn't find DS1's school uniform:mad: my own fault for not having it set out.
So plan today is get the food shop and get the list done.
Hellsbells i'll have a cuppa cheers.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

You have to be disciplined though cos say you got 8 £2 coins in change from breaking a tenner you have to put all the coins in the jar. One of my DHs collegues did it and saved up £300 in a year to put towards a holiday
I started doing this about a month ago - and have got £14 so far!
I think that the reason £2 coins don't seem to be in wide circulation is because so many of us are saving them up!:rotfl:0 -
Well i've been stuck home with a projectile vomiting child for 3 days now and the novelty is wearing very thin. I'm supposed to be teaching this afternoon but unsuprisingly nobody wants a sick child on their hands so another day off unpaid as i'm on probation. Grrrrr But on a bright note my Saturday job appears to have paid me a bit of a bonus so might wander over to Amazon lol
So day 3 home with just you guys and my fly list for company, oh and the vomiting child and angry dog. Oh the joys lolToxic & Tired - Starting 2010 afresh :beer:0 -

The water int he pipes ar so cold that the shower has to be on max to heat it....
also there is steam like vapour coming up from the main drains down the middle of the road...(the streets hot showers running away).....
Dont have much to do today as alot got done yesterday..
what I NEED to do today is..
Take in DD2 school trousers
then take her to school today at 1 for the First Time!!!!!!
oh and re-tidy the kitchen..
You know Oddjob, you really do seem to be an exception in the male of the species - and I mean that in the best wayMy DH doesn't like working (but he hates being stuck at home even more
), and has suggested we swap roles. Trouble is I know I'd end up doing everything here myself as he wouldn't have a clue. And as for taking in a pair of trousers :eek: I wouldn't even like to think about how he would go about doing that

Gryfon, we all work better with no husband around lol!
Mudbath - You're right, a little dirt never hurt anyone, so don't over do it please.
Gsysezz - Hugs, I know how you feel, I had a barfing child for over a week early last year and it's an experience I never want to repeat (but probably something that will happen every year, oh the joys of having kids lol!)
Right here's list, will add dailies too so it looks more impressive as I cross things off lol!

And you've just confirmed what I've just said to Oddjob :rotfl:0 -
Justamum...I suggested swapping with Mr G as well, but I'm not sure what I'd come home to :rotfl: I know that he can put the dishwasher on (although his loading is interesting), he can do the washing and he can hang clothes to dry. He's good at shopping, DIY and looking after the children. But with the dishwasher etc most of the time I need to prompt him. I always dread being ill as I dunno what I'll come downstairs to :rotfl:
ragz...my problem is that he works shifts, so when he's working at the weekend I have to try and do stuff with all three children around which never works well. During the week I may get 2 or 3 days on my own, when he's working nights he's sleeping during the day so I can't do anything too noisy. It's a right pain really! Maybe that's why the house was slightly tidier when he wasn't doing shifts!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
