Recycling - yes, it keeps things out of landfill, and although there has been a bit of a slow-down in demand, recycled metal etc. is cheaper, so demand will probably pick up.
and getting metal ores out of land is VERY harmful to the environment - especially extraction of bauxite (aluminium ore) which is hosed out, leaving massive scars and barren land on which nothing will grow because there is no topsoil. Recycling aluminium is, IMHO doubly green because of this...
    ***climbs down off soapbox***
Hugs Hawthorn and exOH - as a fellow cat lover I echo what other flyladies have said..you have made the right decision
***ever the opportunist perks up at mention of a single man tho' :rotfl:***
    What are you chucking AnWsMum?
So Nicki has been here since the forum was all new and shiny? Getting ALL her posts thanked is going to be a massive challenge then....

I am sitting on the sofa struggling to stay awake ... I almost cried on the train home as I was so tired and fed up.. never understood the january blues til now!!

Rach, hun, hang in there. The nights are drawing out again (trust me, they are, I am aware of that as when I got home this evening it was still in the gloaming rather than pitch black and when I drove to work this morning the sun rose earlier on the journey than it did before my christmas break)

When I was working in London I can't tell you the number of times I almost burst out crying on the Northern Line tube or at Waterloo Station when I missed my connection. The commute you must be doing, although shorter distance wise, is probably just as nasty. I send you coping vibes - big time xx

Pigpen - as you're doing 'frensics' the vibes I will send you is that you need to remember to wear the rubber gloves, dispose of them in a fire somewhere off your premises and make sure there is no possible way of any extraneous fingerprints/hair/dna stuff type available to incriminate you as a suspect :D

    Good evening all.
Back from that place people call work!

pasta on for my tea/supper, so I am chilling out with a lickle dwink. DP has S&S'd kitchen while I was out so woohooo to him lol.
Living room has survived the kids too, so I wont have much to do tomorrow.

Off to check the list, then shutting down for the night.
