Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 4th Jan

This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track especially for the new year so....
Good evening everyone
. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.
Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

Hello,
Could I join in please?
I'm useless at keeping a track of my money and tend to waste it on things I dont need (such as extra food I just fancy when I know there's already food in the house), so this is the boost I need. I think it's a brilliant idea.
I've already attempted to keep a track of what I spend by only taking cash out with me. Though this doesn't always work.
I want to spend only £20 during the next week (starting today Sunday 4th Jan)?
From the £20 I will include all of my spending, including petrol and travel.
Babs xLooking forward to the future.0 -
Oooohhh I do this in my head anyway!! Lol!!
Not included debt repayments or bills I pledge to spend within £10!!
S xJust keep swimming0 -
Can I join please and pledge £20? Anything I don't spend will go in my overdraft pot, and I will clear the odd pounds out of my purse tomorrow so I don't cheat!0
-
Can I join too please?
I pledge to spend a maximum of no more than £30 in total. £20 on petrol top up in car for commuting to work and no more than £10 cash until next Sunday.
Many thanks for the idea to help me reduce my frittering away spending habits, Bill DD payments will continue as normal but it is the frittering that does my head in the most. It is these challenges that are helping me address this - at long last like.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
