I've made my BF up a romantic hamper using ideas from this thread. He is working night shift on 14th Feb and I won't see him till breakfast on 15th. I am planning a romantic breakfast. Has anyone any ideas to make it extra special?

  • Thank you, i found some lovely wrap on ebay. however, the width of most the wrap is 0.8m (length 3m). Is this going to be wide enough to wrap a medium basket? I was wondering whether to take the basket into a florist and see if they could measure it up correctly, but not sure i'll find the time?

I had posted on another thread but it seems to not have replies. I only joined the forum a few days ago after lurking for ages. I am very pleased with my money saving valentines ideas after getting so many tips on here!! My OH is cooking, and I have told him to get creative and that can be my pressie (so not to spend alot of money on food and then a pressie too!) and I have got him a card for under £2 (was going to make one but didn't think I could for under £2 as had to buy quite a few materials). I am also going to make a choco slab in the heart shaped ramekins at tescos (which are ace!) and choco hearts in heart shaped ice cubed trays, am also going to make red peppermint ones (icing sugar, water and peppermint flavouring) to mix it up a bit. The only other thing I am thinking of is cupcakes. I tried to make some yesterday and they did not turn out well, in fact OH moaned about them all evening (they ended up a bit messy to eat). I have searched for recipes and am trying more tonight. This does however mean buying more ingredients so am worried bout the cost. Ah well, all in the name of love hey!
