mine, which is years old, is noisy in a motor-turning kind of way, the paddle is popped on top of the spindle and isn't held firmly in place so I suppose that would make it a bit wobbly.
I don't think mine clicks though.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.0 -

I have started to make daily porridge in the saucier. I use whole organic oats and they take more cooking and I have dried milk in my storecupboard that I want to use so: a pint of cold water, heat 5 and timer 30 mins. Start, add milk powder, add 1 cup of oats and a pinch of salt and leave while you do other things. It makes the most lush, creamy porridge with a bit of whole grain nuttiness. I expect in winter I`ll add 5 mins to compensate for the water being colder0

I also made a simple cheese sauce the other day, which was perfect for lasagne. Butter, cornflour, dried mustard, milk and away she goes. Add milk until it is thin enough for lasagne and lastly add grated cheese. I used cheddar and left over parmesan. All while I got on with something else. Brilliant0

As ive given up on making porridge in my slow cooker due to what i have read on this board im now thinking a le saucier is the way to go.
Does anyone know if it would work if i put all the ingredients in together the night before and put set it on a timer switch - would this work?
Im sure i would find lots of other uses for this product but im looking for something that will make breakfast easier as I skip it right now but know i shouldnt.
Many thanks

I guess you could make up the ingredients the night before - my concern would be if this allowed the oats to absorb so much liquid it would be hard for the blade to go round, which might damage the rotor? Just a thought, and one I'm sure you could solve by a bit of experimenting with amounts of liquid.0

I haven't used mine recently, was disappointed when I made cheese sauce for lasagne that it didn't thicken - do you think I did something wrong or is the machine faulty, it didn't have lumps in though!!I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

I made cheese sauce last week for the first time, start (melting butter) to finish it took about 30 mins, I too was all ready to tip it out and put it in the microwave to thicken, but glad I left it as at least I know know now for next time. I had given up on custard a few days earlier and put it in the MW as thought it would only take about 15 minutes, think you just have to allow enough time.0 -
if anyone is still trying to buy a Le Saucier or a SEB Saucier (in france) then i've just bought one from amazon.fr and i used the google translator so i could ensure i understood the details etc..i had to pay about £10 delivery but at least i'm getting one now, been on the hunt for ages! already contacted lakeland and Tefal but no stocks in UK at present or even in the near future. Hope this is of some use to someone :-)This is an excellent web site. Thanks :j0
