Wow zippy ! Thanks a lot. I shall phone lakeland shops tomorrow and if no joy have a friend in France who can get me a French Amazon one - I didn't think to look there (tho that's a LOT more than lakeland !!) Thank you soooo much  morgan0

yeeha ! have just phoned Bicester lakeland who have one or two of them and will keep one for me !!!!!! Thanks vivw for the suggestion about phoning a store - never thought they'd have them if Windemere didn't. So thank you all for help and ideas- another triumph for the wonderful and helpful people on the OS forum.
Happy New year to all :beer:0 -
My Lakeland is trying to get one for me but I forgot to ask the price. Can anyone help, please?0

price was £78.29 (too expensive really) but in lakeland sale reduced to 51.86 (more like it !). I hope they find you one :j0

:jPicked mine up from Lakeland this afternoon at the sale price of 51.86:jWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

Lakeland phoned me today to say that they had managed to get one for me. Can I use it to make perfect scrambled eggs? Hope so as that was what I wanted it for (well, also thought it would be good for melting chocolate for all the desserts that I should be giving up but haven't yet found the willpower!). What else do you all use yours for?0

I use mine a lot for white sauce (cheese sauce for lasagne, cauli cheese etc etc. It gets on with it while I do other things) also for melting chocolate with some water for a fab choc mousse recipe I have and make a lot and is the best and easiest I have found, and have done hollandaise in it in the past. I think it would be excellent for scrambled egg and never thought of that ! Thanks for the idea :T
PS I went to Bicester on Tuesday to get mine - very snowy where I live, and roads a bit frosty, but I was so keen to get it - and there it was put aside for me - hooray !0 -
Thanks morganlefay. I hate making sauces so it'll definitely be useful for that. I also thought that I'd use it for melting the butter and chocolate for chocolate brownies. However, being able to leave scrambled eggs and/or porage in the morning to look after itself while I get the packed lunches ready will be great. I'm going to pick it up today - does it come with some sort of recipe/ideas booklet?
PS - You couldn't PM me with your choc mousse recipe could you? I have one but you can never have too many variations! I can let you have my choc brownie recipe in exchange if you don't already have one.0 -
My mother has had one for ages & absolutely swears by it. I couldn't find one new anywhere (missed the Lakeland sale) so bought one sec hand from ebay. They go for a fortune on there!0

I was gutted when I found Lakeland had sold out but started investigating. I can't believe I missed this as am a big Lakeland purchaser! However after hours on the web and phoning Lakeland and all their friendsI decided to find out why Tefal weren't making them. The answer: 'We are!' They gave Lakeland sole right to stock them after manufacturing them again because of their popularity. They were unaware Lakeland have put them on sale and are very puzzled as they awarded them the contract'. Anyway I have ordered one, at full price unfortunately but am just thrilled to get one.
