Options
i was looking on their website at the worktops and just wondered if anyone had ordered anything from there and what was the quality, service and delivery like?
Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts

I use them a lot. Generally great. I did get some SDS drill bits from them that kept getting stuck in the drill. They gave a refund, no probs.

My mum and dad order a lot from them and even though they are always moaning about the delivery charge they dont moan about anything else (well not about Screwfix anyway  ). I ordered something a little while ago and it arrived the next day.

Small stuff that can be packed in boxes is ok...big stuff gets damaged in transit.
They will take anything back thats damaged, but its a pain waiting for another delivery to find thats damaged too !
They have never delivered a copper pipe yet thats not been damaged in some way or another.

i use them all the time and must have spent 000's with them over the years. Only ever had one problem which was with their courier and screwfix were nothing short of superb in sorting it out. even gave me a £50 voucher for my trouble.
    Highly recommended.

I've used them a lot in the past. Lots of problems with delivery but always the fault of the courier. Although I hate to admit it, they seem much better at sorting out delievery problems since they were taken over by Kingfisher (same people as B&Q) - although the prices are a little bit higher now.

The people who set up Screwfix have now opened Toolstation which is worth looking at for some things.

I have used them quite a bit. Week before last (on a Sunday) I placed an order for some minor bits and for a couple of doors, delivery was free and doors were on a "21 day" delivery. I ended up with them being delivered on the Thursday (was offered Wednesday), so that was less then 4 days - not bad if you ask me, I have had a couple of short orders but they have been made up straight away with only 24hrs delay. I still intend to use them for most of my DIY stuff.

What a coincidence! I was coming here to ask about this company and someone beat me to it :p:D

I wondered if anyone has bought any of their kitchen cabinets before (the rigid pre-built ones) and if so are they good quality and was delivery etc ok?

They're excellent - you can order through Quidco or Rpoints I think to get a further discount, and the catalogue is full of other good stuff - lightbulbs are a decent buy and there's a good deal besides.

I usually band together with friends to ensure I get over the free postage amount. You can also refer friends in which case the referrer gets a £10 voucher - this works between partners or spouses (I'm specifically NOT looking for a referral here, but anyone signing up with Screwfix might want to PM one of the other people above who have used them).
