Have you tried applying for DLA? You can get that and work, and if your hand/wrist problems mean you can't cook a meal from scratch then you should get the lower rate care. That's currently £17.75 a week. If you've got a DIAL near you they can help you with the forms.

I agree with the others, I think you're going to have to sacrifice your credit rating here.

    Hi,

yes i tried with dla, they turned me down for that too. applied at same time i applied for my incap.

and yes i have accepted that my credit rating is going to go down, i will just have to live with it. my only worry is when we need to renew our mortgage deal in 2 years time, but we shall deal with that when it happens.

It might be worth reapplying, did you get help from a welfare rights advisor or did you fill the forms in yourself?

i got help from welfare rights.

i cant see how they would accept it this time, especially as they have put me on JSA foloowing my pca, my incap appeal is going through re-consideration. They just seem like utter idiots!

I can recomend the co-op, the online is really easy to use, you get an electron card and can pay in via the post office.

Didn't welfare rights advise you to appeal? Was it your local council one or somewhere like DIAL? DIAL have been brilliant with me.

well i hope i have done this right :o

mum lives with us and pays for the utilities (gas/water/elec) and splits tv/phone/internet costs with us in lieu of rent.

Ok with cutting back and maybe taking responsibility for all the household bills may help. You could then ask your Mum to pay a monthly rent amount. At the moment I would guess she is only paying approx £180 per month. I personally think you could ask for more than that off her. Then with reduced utility bills and internet etc it would pay off more debt.

With the £10,000 I would pay off Capital One, Natwest and Tesco credit cards. Have the rest of either sitting as back up or get rid of the buy now pay later thing. By paying the 3 I have mentioned it will give you a spare £210 a month off your defiit.

    Good luck

Hi -apologies if I have missed the point, but was your RSI caused by what you were doing at work? If this was the case perhaps you might have a claim against your employer?

I believe you might be able to get 1/2 hour free legal advice in UK but not entirely sure. Perhaps somebody else could comment.

    Wishing you luck.
