A couple of members of the Old Style board proposed a seed exchange, and have set up a Yahoo group for those interested in a freecycle-style seed swap shop!
The link is http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/SeedExchangeUK/
(Hope I'm allowed to link - apologies if not - erm, search yahoo groups for seed exchange UK!)

As the site is being set up off MSE, I'll check with the abuse team to see if it's ok0
-
Thanks Arkonite Babe. It's up on the OS board too, if that helps.0

Thanks. Just read it but will still need to clarify0

OK all. I have just had the ok from the Abuse team, as long as MSE is NOT used in any way to exchange details, the Seed swapping forum can be advertised here
Hope that helps and happy swapping!!

I got over-excited and posted this further up on Martin's sticky - so delighted to see the greenfingered board I went a little potty!
Is there a website for people to offer half packets of seed in return for something else? Or just as an offer? Better than the seeds going to rot through not being used up...
If not, is this something we could do, e.g. as in the coupons and codes: 'I gotta... lettuce, tomato or whatever' or 'I wanna.... rocket, parsley or whatever? If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Welcome to green fingered moneysaving
Unfortunately due to site rules (See THIS rule ) we can't encourage swapping etc on the forums or by PM.
You can however use a yahoo based forum called Seed Exchange
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/SeedExchangeUK/
Hope this is of help to you.0 -
Great idea - I received some artichoke and 2 types of pumpkin yesterday.
With the seed sowing season upon us, more people might like to join.
