Cat scratching car

Oh get a grip, it's only a car!
My cats sleep all the time on my car, and they do occassionally put a minor scratch in it the roof/bonnett.
I cannot believe that you're so obsessed a bit of metal in the drive that just gets you from A to B is causing you so much stress.
Stop being so materialistic and enjoy life.
Well i'm so pleased that you earn so much money that you are happy for your animals to ruin it for you, either that or you own a right crap-mobile. I however do not have another £18,500 to spend on another new Mini - not a bit of metal!
Yes - i am enjoying life by buying a new car, its my first brand spanking new car, and the experience is being somewhat ruined by someones cat. Even when the cat sat on my old Ford Fiesta I used to be livid so its not the car, its more the principle! If my pets did the damage i'd be fuming, but someone else's pet is doing it which makes me so angry as the cat doesnt even sit on THEIR BMW One series!0 -
Take no notice, seriously. You have a perfect right not to want your car damaged. It's not like you are telling them to only let it out on a lead.
Now are you going to get a gynormous water pistol or what?*Make every day Caturday*0 -
I'm a cat lover, but I have a now one year old car (from new) & my DH has a 1.5 year old car.
I wouldn't have mine or anyone elses cats scratching it:rolleyes:
Hiw much did your car cost, because if its 20k (an average annual salary) I'm surprised at your lax attitude:rolleyes:
It was £18,500. I work hard all year round and thought I'd treat myself last September as my OH and I have both been promoted at work so when its being ruined by other peoples property its very frustrating! I'm trying to be as reasonable as possible (first time for everything hehe) but if it was anyone elses cat - if it was even my best mates cat i'd still be livid, makes no difference if its the nasty old biddy next doors cat or anyone elses!0 -

Its on its way! I'm gonna be up extra early tomorrow with my camoflague gear and bandana on peeping out the bedroom window! :rotfl:0 -

If my cat was in someones garden I wouldn't have a problem with a neighbour giving them a squirt of cold water to get rid of them. Its a short harmless shock.
In fact I've told my neighbour to do that to Ted (RIP) if he tried to get into her house or was in her garden bothering her cats.0 -

The cat doesn't bother coming in my garden anymore, Bailey keeps chasing him away, now all i need is to train him to sit by the car and guard it :rotfl:0 -
um my ds would go ape if anything went on his car  i would suggest cold water and a bit of hissing they get the message :rolleyes:0

This is probably going to sound very, very silly - but do you have a garage?
Almost everyone I know who has one keeps gardening equipment, DIY junk etc (basically everything apart from a car) so you kinda forget that they're meant for keeping motors in! If you did have the use of one then it would be beneficial in other ways too (ie insurance costs go down).
The only problem is that it is admitting defeat to a cat!
Another option is a car cover (ie http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7402663/c_1/1%7Ccat_10198728%7CCar+equipment%7C10198863/Trail/searchtext%3ECAR+COVER.htm) an added benefit of this is that you won't have to de-ice your car in the morning.
