    Hi
its my sons 5th birthday in a few weeks and I've been trying to think of ideas too!

I saw some nice proper big boy mugs (Thomas etc) in Wilkos for 99p the other day and was thinking along the cup in cellophane idea.

I got 6 item selection boxes reduced to 62p in Sainsburys the other day so I thought I could split those up, add a personalised choc bar (kit kat prob) and also some of those Nesquik straws for milk. Wrap it in cello and all done!

When you say cup do you mean party themed plastic cup? Wasnt sure of those or try to get some nicer real ones ifkwim?

Let us know what you decide

Not really sure what I mean by cup, depends on the price really? I think I am moving towards a party bag with bits in now.

    Thanks for your ideas :D

Its my sons 4th birthday next month and he's having a bolwing party. For the party bags i got a couple of the Mail (i think it was or was it the Mirror?) Lego sets that they did back in November time (i got a set of 12 as did my mum!) work out to 54p a set! So they'll have one of them each with some sweets and a piece of cake, althoguh he has today requested Star Wars party bags with Star Wars stickers in them, so i'm sat here scouring Ebay.

    HTH

    HTH

I found some Star Wars stickers on ebay from a US seller - sheets of 15 or 18 I think... http://stores.ebay.co.uk/atiggger24-Stickers-N-More_Star-Wars_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ3659869QQftidZ2QQtZkm

There are Star Wars printables available online for free if you're interested...

I think I'm going to use them on the tables for kiddies to colour before/during food and means I can use plain white cheapie tablecloths and it will look fine. Kids could also colour in the tabelcloths if they want to.

    Good luck, HTH :D

My little brain has been buzzing with party ideas! I am thinking of doing milkshake powder in a cello cone with mini marshmallows (the multi-coloured ones) and a straw and call it 'Sith Shake' or 'Vader Shaker' (named after Star Wars characters!). Sort of similar to the famous snowman soup. What do you think?
I love this idea and thought about printing of star wars picture, 2 per straw and attach one in front and one at the back and glue together, if you know what I mean. DS2 had Mickey Mouse straws similar, like this

Hi Ive now found these on ebay
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=280277960537

and think its just what I'm after! Just a bit concerned as they are coming from Hong Kong and I'm not sure if there are any customs issues or not - it'd only be under £10 so I'm sure there won't be.

So i thought I give everyone a cup with some sweets , personalised choc bar and some of those Nesquik straws - wrap it all in cellophane and ribbon and that'll look cool! and job done!

They look great! I'm going to have a quick look now for some Star Wars ones... :D

Are you making food for the pary yourself? You could put that in a party box and include the little take home gifts in the box IYSWIM.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!

Thanks Marg, already seen it and planning to have a go at making some with Star Wars wrapping paper.

Thanks for mentioning the idea, hope you're going to give it a go too ;)

Hi Rainmac Sadly, I have no children to do party bags for but I'm going to give it a go as a wrapper if I give someone a small gift -I think if it works it'll make even a few sweets seem nicer. I've even ordered a crimper in the hopes I can do it.
If all else fails I can offer a paper crimping service to the world!!:rotfl:

Here are my first attempts at the DIY little packets...

I'm pretty pleased with them. Have about 35 Star Wars ones to do, thinking of filling them with flying saucer sweets.
