Here are my first attempts at the DIY little packets...
I'm pretty pleased with them. Have about 35 Star Wars ones to do, thinking of filling them with flying saucer sweets.

Thanks bunbunSomeone mentioned on another thread that there's a code for free delivery for Lakeland on the HotUKDeals site. I've just ordered 4 packs of mini marshmallows and a pack of disposable icing bags to make 'milkshake soup' for the party bags.

Personally I just go for books. I did this for my DD's 4th birthday party and since then 2 other parents did the same. One other gave water pistols instead. I think most parents agree that a bag of plastic tat is awful. I also won't have cheap felt tips in the house because if they get on any fabric etc they don't come off. If DDs are given them then they go straight in the bin.0
