Put this here because it can be used for all holidays.
These were easy to make. You can use paper, wallpaper, wrapping paper, card. Anything you have to hand. For a lot of them I just used MS paint on the computer and printed out different colours from that on to normal A4 paper. I did the same for the tags too, you'll see I can't use the paintbrush very well. LOL
I bought a mini crimper/wribbler from ebay and it seals the ends really well.
Use for hampers or easter, halloween, birthdays, christmas, advent calendars, valentines, 30/40/50 little treats for birthdays or even party bags or wedding favours.
You can fill with chocs, small treats, smarties, lipglosses - any little present.
Halloween. The ghost, this ladies idea http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1067660?cat=5651 was A4 printer paper. Googley eyes would have been good but I just used what I had. The spider I just crochet as I went along. The stripy paper is a free download from scrapbrush.com and I just made the tag on MS paint.

Birthdays, large and small, the small ones for the 40 treats for 40th birthday etc. Or you could use christmas paper and put a ribbon through, string 24 together for advent calendar.

Valentines day. Just imagine this was a heart paper. It was only wrapping paper I had left.

Lastly Easter. The face for this came from a link she grinch showed us http://chicnscratch.typepad.com/stampinacademy/2008/03/bunny-face.html and I just used the crimper to make arms and legs like this ladies idea http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1149377?cat=8011

Sorry post was huge, just wanted to show all the uses. Hope you like them.
EDIT: Julie H(thanks) found a tutorial on how to make them. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/sour_cream_container/

Do you glue them together to put things in them or is that what a crimpers for ? Not familiar with a lot of these things.Mary

Thanks Mary, glad you liked them. I used that double sided cardmaking/craft tape to seal the ends, then ran it through the crimper afterwards. It squeezes it together a bit and just finishes it off nicely but it's not a neccessity.
That's a pic of the crimper. It was £4.90 with p&p from ebay. I always wanted one.
They are very, very easy to make. I bet scrapbookers and cardmakers will have some lovely papers to make some gorgeous ones.0 -
soblivion - thanks. I can;t seem to register with ebay for some reason
Still, long as I can stick them together I'm sure I can think of some way of decorating them a bit.Mary
