Good luck with yours! I work for a large airport group... its a bit geeky but I'm hoping to get back into a job that is more to do with planes and less with passengers and shops!
Hey Shazzer-who do you work for ? You at SOU? Old friend of mine is at SOU with an exec handling company-used to be Magic aviation but I can't remember what it's called now! I used to be ground staff at LGW for BA, and before that BCAL, and before THAT , ATC. Still miss the ramp though.......DH just left for HKG tonight..
Len...well, we all have days like that mate..I've had a few myself lately..don't beat yourself up about it, it's life! You look at what other people have "got",but you can't see inside their heads can you?
Hey Pepe..your heading back up to my neck of the woods on your Liverpool run...
Glad to see no trolls here tonight...last night wasn't good...Debt-free...and staying that way...0 -
Len - you aren't droning on.
I've been there with Facebook. i've got a handful of friends who seem to have amazing lives, happy, with partners, career, children etc. One is in South Africa, 2 in Australia, 1 in Abu Dhabi and 1 who has photos from dinners with lots of people with double barrelled names. Granted he was part of the gentry set before I knew him, but when you see him spending Boxing Day out hunting and then a 50th dinner is in some stately home with everyone in full black tie get up, it does make you look at your own life and think - where the hell did I go wrong?
However, there are plenty of people who would love to live in this part of the world, I'm sure, so I have to try to keep focused on that. We can all look at other people's lives and wish we were there, but it's only a surface snapshot of what is really going on.
And yes - innuendos please!!"Stay Wonky":D

I am actually quite concerned about a friend on mine who still hasnt had a LBM, keeps running up the cards and sticking it on the mortgage, seethat as being financially savvy as they are paying it off over a longer terms so keeping the payments low..............................
Nothing I can do really but hope that the LBM kicks in soon:oBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Something weird happened yesterday on our drive back from Stratford-on-avon. We were at the north end of the M40, heading south, when suddenly, on the northbound carriageway, a woman came like the clappers across the field next to the motorway, and flew over the fence onto the hard shoulder where she frantically started flagging the traffic down! Her face had a look of absolute terror on it, as if she was being chased or something...very strange...we couldn't do anything about it of course, and people did stop for her...it's just the look of fear on her face has stayed with me....Debt-free...and staying that way...0

Hi Lenny
You are right, perspective is what its all about.....what makes some people worry can be water off a ducks back to others....I have to say Lenny the job situation was 90% of my troubles for about 2 to 3 years and I am sure BB will agree with me. I had a stressful job about 3 years ago... l loved it..it was stressful but not once did I get out of bed in the morning and not WANT to go to work.
All that changed when the idiot boss dug a big hole while I was on maternity leave and unfortunately I never went back. I took the first job that came along and I was bored out of my brains with a patronising idiot for a boss and my confidence, already knocked at this point, took a battering. It ended up with me unable to go out or even function properly and life was difficult. ...However, one day I picked the handbag up and walked out - straight into another job, which although not ideal has been enough to bring my confidence and mood back up.
Not sure what you can do about your situation but you know you can vent on here anytime - in between innuendo.......although it is always good to look at what you HAVE achieved over the last couple of years....look at how much debt you have repaid.. you have a new baby on the way and you can provide for your family....
Some people never have mortgages, in France it isn't the norm, its not the be all and end all in fact they can be an albatross around the neck. Lenny you have a freedom not afforded to everyone...I am not sure if i had my life all over again that I would go down the mortgage route....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
