Wow, sounds wonderful fresian. I am just making slow cooked ham joint in bayleaves (yum) and I may well make some of that soup with left over bits after tea!

It's a popular weekend for gammon - we had it too last night! My leftovers are just going in sandwiches for lunchtime.

I used the last of our mince making shepherds pie and chilli for the freezer. We're not buying more until it's all eaten, which will be a while yet!

I'm off to Morrisons later to try and find myself some more cheap meat, but it's not easy to come by at the moment.

Four items listed on Ebay and two loads of washing hung up. Just going to have breakfast then do the dishes. Happy Sundays all!

Breakfast:- Special K and semi-skimmed milk
Lunch:- Home-made pea & ham soup (Om nom nom!)
    Snack:- Apple
Dinner:- Stir fry veg, noodles and a little bit of chicken
Pudding:- Fruit salad (One apple, one banana and about 6 strawberries) with a little bit of double cream - I didn't eat all the cream either, the cats got it :rotfl:

Another day which is pretty good for me on the food front.

I have done washing and cleaned the kitchen, four items are listed on Ebay (Two watchers already, yay!) and I did buy a pair of jeans on Ebay too, but I need a pair that are the right size :D

I don't have a lot else to report really. I've been to the supermarket and spentmoney (Boo!) but I should now have enough food for the month with the exception of milk, bread and veggies.

Tomorrow we're going to see Ross Noble (Hurrah!) at our local theatre which should be excellent. He always makes me laugh until my sides hurt :rotfl: Even better is the knowledge that it is paid for, and not on credit :T

Oh, and my Skunk Anansie tickets arrived yesterday. WOO!

Fresion, my pea and ham soup looked disgusting and I threw it away! Can anyone give me a nice recipe?

    All I did was this:

I had slow cooked ham in about a pint of water with a veggie stock cube in it.

I took this stock and added another pint of veggie stock to the soup pot into which I threw:

    Three tatties, peeled and cubed
    One onion, chopped
Leftover sweetcorn (About a third of a Value tin)
Loadsa peas (About a third of a bag)
    Chopped up gammon leftovers

I just brought it to the boil and simmered for about fifteen minutes then blended it to within an inch of its life when cool. Yummy!

That's about as professional as I get when making soup - throw things in, boil and blend :D
