    Food confession time!

    Breakfast - Special K & Semi-skimmed milk
    Lunch - 2 x ham sandwiches
Snacks - packet of Ready Salted Walkers crisps, mix of strawberries and apple
Dinner - Carvery (Monthly dinner with the girls) followed by ice cream

Not too bad really, but need to find something savory that isn't crisps! I think I'm going to go and buy bags of salted popcorn again as that's quite low fat I believe.

I also did about twenty minutes of brisk walking - two ten minute bursts. I could walk home from work in about half an hour, maybe more, but I would be walking through a fairly bad area. I'll see how I get on tomorrow and maybe walk home tomorrow night.

    Night all!

I'd say one sandwich is sufficient!

Portion control is an issue with me - I came from a family that ate big meals. My dad gave me lamb chops recently for my freezer and I asked him why I had such a big bag of them, given that me and OH would eat two chops each with loads of veg.

He gave me 8 in a bag as this was what he and mum would eat (Easily, more likely to have 9-10 between them) along with tatties and veg.

I'm working on long-standing issues here!

I need filling yet yummy snacks for during the day - ideas please :D
  • Finally caught up, you had me hooked with the Dr.Who smilies way back when..:D

Have to say Mr.B is also a toon army fan, being from the area and all! Was a smidgin of hope when it seems points have not been added so Hull may yet go and toon army stay. It is often hard to tell with him though as his usual position is prostrate on the couch with occasional snores if footy not on telly.:rotfl: He has been quite alert tonight and i suspect it was because ManU lost and there was a glimmer of hope for Neecastle ( said in Geordie type accent)

So just thought i would Bob in and say hello.BOB :D
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

    Mortgage-free Glee!
There's a carboot at Newcraighall this Sunday (I think). Might try to get along to see if it's a one off or regular. Unfortunately posters just said Sunday 8am - 2pm and no actual dates.

I drink tea by the gallon and don't find myself any fuller :rotfl:

This link is interesting It's about how you feel fuller with soup than with a drink and a meal. I am going to batch cook some soups over the weekend when I have more room in the freezer. If I do a big ham on Sunday I can make pea and ham soup with that. I will also buy veg on Saturday and make veggie soup too and start taking that to work with me. If I go to M&S late in the day I can get really yummy seeded rolls for pennies and freeze them.

Ooh, I love it when a plan comes together :D

Not much to report here, I am off to work soon and if the weather holds am planning on getting the bus to the shops at lunchtime and walking back (More exercise, yay!) then making lunch in the microwave - if I can find a tin of soup in the cupboard :D

I had money come off my account for shares today which I am buying through an Open Offer. We are getting them for 38p per share and the price yesterday was 62p, so insta-profit. I am planning on holding on to them for the long-term (Only bought £98 worth) and if the price even goes to £2 I have made a good profit which will go to the debts!

    Must get ready for work!

First food diary isn't too bad FF, I know what you mean about portion sizes - I come from a family of chefs and germans! :rotfl: Untill recently, a portion of say, rice, would fill a whole dinner plate. And then the curry/whatever on top!

Savoury snacks I like ryvita, only 70p for a original ones. Nice on their own or with butter or marmite for that twiglet taste :D.

    xx
