So, today I have done less than yesterday, but more than I will when I go back to work! I have been to the shops and:
- Picked up t'other halfs prescription - no charge due to prepayment certificate
- Bought hair dye on Boots points - £3.50 saved
- Bought moisturiser - it said £4.99 on the shelf but scanned through at £5.39. The old me would have been embarrassed to question it, but I did and got my 40p off.
- Returned clothes to New Look - £10 back on the card, which should leave me in credit for next month
- Returned ill-advised sales purchases and (minging) Christmas scarf to M&S. Got trousers (Per Una, £39.50 down to £17) and a dress (£35 down to £9!) in exchange, and still have over £16 left on a gift card

- Bought new earrings the other week and lost one the first time I wore them - they are still in Accessorize, but are now 70% off, so replaced them for £1.80
- Bought a new cardigan, but mum said she would buy one for me, so it cost me nothing as I will get the money back:rotfl:
- Used £5 No7 voucher in Boots to buy their Christmas eyeshadow which was reduced to £6.50 so only cost me £1.50
One tip though for anyone who gets a free trial from Audible - don't download I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue and listen to it on public transport. I kept laughing out loud on the bus and looked like a total nutter
Now, onwards to my crazy messy kitchen....0 -
Hi FF. Thought I'd just add a note to say well done on being so motivated!! You have shamed me into getting off my butt and going and getting my camera out to photograph my E-bay items which have sat on the side for 10 days now! Thank you.
Keep it up.... it's catching!

Hi,
you are doing really well,i will follow this thread.
Look forward to catching up with you tomorrow.0 -
Good morning all!
Firstly, thanks to all the people who have posted and said that I am motivating them, it's appreciated, even if I find it quite funny. I don't feel like I'm doing very much most of the time, which is why I post my daily lists. At least that way I can see what I'm achieving.
So, with that in mind, it's time for todays list!
Today I have done or will do:
- [strike]Washing. One load done, another in the machine already[/strike] 3rd load is in the machine at the moment (And it's only 8.30am!) and once that's done I'm finished with washing as I will have run out of hanging up room
- [strike]Download TurboLister to list items on Ebay[/strike]
- [strike]Put pictures on to PC to try and make sure Ebay items sell![/strike]
- [strike]List more Ebay stuff[/strike]
- Tidy kitchen
- Tidy living room
- Go to Post Office (again) as it was shut yesterday and post three items sold on Amazon
- [strike]Check online banking [/strike]
- [strike]Make my PAD[/strike]

Good morning FF
Thank you so much for your diary. I am going to watch it with interest!
I have a few money worries & have been awake since 4.30am worrying about them :-(
I have been reading through the internet and found your post.
It has given me a bit of a kick up the backside & motivated me.
We have a long long way to go but whilst me & my little man have been watching Toy Story this am (No chance of me going back to bed!) I have registered with music magpie. A lot of the CD's I put in were not required as they had to many of them but I have a huge crate of CD's sitting in my bedroom!! So when hubby gets up I am going to crack it open!!!
Thank you & I hope to follow your story & hopefully one day I will be brave enough to post my own!!!0 -

Morning FF,
Your diary is very motivating :T - it def helped me when I first read your previous diary and spurred me on to getting things on track. Thanks
I didn't know about moneymagpie either and have a large box of old cd's that no one in the right mind would every want so going to give it a go. Seems a few of us weren't aware of this site so thanks for that :T You have helped your fellow dfw make some extra pennies!!
Only just surfaced and already logged on here - so addictive but I love it! I actually have a notepad dedicated to this site and I write down anything I think will help me, ideas etc. It's half way filled already!! I can't wait to see what a difference we can all make in 2009 :j
Hope you have a good day.No spend days for March = 3Money to joint savings 2009 = £100.00Money to personal savings 2009 = £0.000 -
